Is there anything new or interesting about this recording of "All Over You?" Does Shinn take the vocals or song to new place? In order for this to work, I believe he has to make the song his own, not just try to copy Ed circa 1994.

We have not heard this song sang correctly in over 10 years. So yes, he does add something to it again, EMOTION. He's added emotion back to the vocals in this version.

Ed has been just going through the motions with his singing for years now. He'll play around with his falsetto, he's changing the lyrics of classic Live songs to reflect and push upon us his new Christian beliefs, and he's pandering Live songs in every one of his concerts, even though he's moved on from Live and wants to focus on his solo career. He's a complete joke at this point in his career, and that's not even debatable.

Why should he have to take them to a new place? I hear the emotion in the song, they way it was meant to be done. Is that what you need for validation? Why are you here?, you were not interested in this at all. You have an agenda to discredit, you're not a fan, so why do you persist here? The whole new Live is to go back and perform with no strings attached and no conditions. You don't understand that because youre firmly in Ed's camp. Follow Ed on his upcoming tour and new record, it's what you're on record here preferring. You never saw them perform back in those years anyway....you don't have any perspective other than video.

Say what you want, but I know 100% that this new version is better compared to any version that's done by Eddie and the K's.

Let's see if Shinn has the concert chops to fill Ed's shows. I don't see him coming anywhere close.

You act like it's hard to fill Ed's shoes in terms of his on stage performance...

-Rhythmic hip grinding
-Hip swiveling
-Repeat same stories and anecdotes during certain moments of songs
-Falsetto voice
-Changing lyrics to insert Jesus
-Being disconnected from the band
-Going through the motions

Yeah that about sums up Ed on stage.

Shouldn't be all that difficult.

this has been what you've been gearing up for.....another smear campaign. Do you have your signs and posters all done up from the printer?

I'm just being honest. It is an unoriginal studio cover of a classic song that no where touches the original.

SO I haven't looked into it much but was it confirmed somewhere that it is Chris Shinn?

Indeed I haven't. yet people are stating almost as fact specially when the one that will remain nameless is already cutting him up before we even know its him. People are funny things.

thats precisely the point, he's been cutting up on all people associating themselves with CC&P since the breakup. It's a personal slandering agenda w/o merit.

I have brought several people to live concerts throughout the years, and they unanimously thought ed was a great perfomer and amongst the best they have ever seen...ed in 2000's was nothing compared to ed in 1990's but he still put on a great show...people here are overly critical because a lot of times emotions are involved...live at the hard rock in AC in 2008 was one of the better shows i have ever seen from the band, including the secret samadhi and TDTH days, which I consider the peak of Live

Calm down Simon Cowell - you're simply looking for fault instead of appreciating music being made . This song is being performed under the name Live. I do not think the goal is for the new singer to make it his own, it's to perform the song the best he can as a new member of Live.

IMO - nice job. Dude has big shoes to fill!
