All Over You isn't a song that is meant to have incredible range in it, he sung it a range it should be sung in, without trying to reach for falsetto-esque notes that his voice can barely hit like SOME people do these days. I prefer people that have a smaller range but know how to absolutely own the range they have. That used to be Ed, his range honestly isn't that great, but he stretches it to places it just shouldn't go.
I don't think range is the word you're looking for, character maybe? Something that gives it a unique quality? I could sort of see where you're coming from if that's what you mean. Talking about the dude's range on a one song practice clip and dissing it like that just shows you were prepared to say that no matter what it sounded like.

I would be very surprised if this is not Chris Shinn. At the beginning of the song, I wasn't sure since it sounded like he was doing too much of an Ed impression on the first verse, but towards the end...I would recognize that growl anywhere.

Whoever this is the energy of what +LIVE+ is has returned and what has left is a massive ego that needs to not be mentioned any further. I feel like it's 1991 all over again and I just heard these guys for the first time, get on board or get out of the way this train is rolling and it's time to enjoy the ride.
