We had full faith in Chad when he said the website would launch in a few weeks, all those months ago.

I'd also like to offer up an addendum to my previous post. This is just my opinion not based on any personal experience, but I imagine that with a band as "known" as Live is it's not just simply "write, record, put music out" or "kick out former singer/bring in new singer" and let it fly. A smaller band wouldn't have as much legal-oriented tangles to sort out nor would they have the general overhead to sort out as a band of Live's stature. I'm sure there were a lot of people involved in getting Live to where they were and quite possibly some, if not a lot or all of those people, might be sticking their hands out or wanting to stick their heads into, this next chapter of the band.

Not that this hasn't been mentioned before and not to say that this stuff is still an issue... I'm just sayin' maybe it's been an issue.

Btw... I forgot what else I was going to say.

You can't navigate beyond the sign-up page at present but still, have at it.

Also, a blurb from Chad Taylor over on Facebook:

Freaks4Live is launching right now!
+LIVE+ are proud to announce the launch of our new official headquarters http://www.freaks4live.com/ +LIVE+ are preparing to enter the studio to write and record their 8th studio album. F4L will be the epicenter of breaking news, advance ticket offerin...gs, band photos and most important new music. Be the first in line for the launch and join now! Freaks4Live was named by Kevin DeBauch through a community contest on the bands Facebook sight. Kevin is one lucky guy as he won (2) lifetime passes to any +LIVE+ show worldwide! But the fun doesn't end here. +LIVE+ will be awarding exclusive prizes to those members who join F4L and promote & capture the most sign ups! Some early prize ideas include: an exclusive tour of the studio while the band are recording; dinner with the band and their mothers; a personally guided tour of York, PA including their childhood homes and the garage where it all began; exclusive F4L T-shirts -- oh, and an exclusive preview party of the bands new album....and we're just getting started. So how many friends and family members can you get to join you at F4L? Don't forget to use your unique URL code on all of your emails and social media posts. This information will be provided once you sign up and you can check in on your status. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED LOVE AND SUPPORT +LIVE+

I don't have a problem with the boys taking their time and getting it right - I hope they really nail it and give us some of their best music ever!

But why "tease" the public and launch something premature imo (3rd August).

I get the band shit and I get the legal shit but seriously we must be the most patient fans in the world.

We get all of these bits and pieces through FB or whatever (some more privileged with some info than others) and then get blown off mid-December with well wishes and Merry Christmas?

And remember what happened last year with all of the promises of unreleased tracks and forgotten outtakes and sessions - still waiting CT!

Anyway - as a diehard fan and someone who is hoping for some killer music from the guys we love and respect it's just another kick in the guts - again imo.

Just don't let us down CCP and lead singer.

Merry Christmas and best wishes to you too.

I think the real "Update on Live" is that there is nothing new.

Freaks4Live is launching right now!

That quote sums it up. For those of you here preaching patience, that we need to wait and understand the depth of launching a website, that people asking for something to happen are idiotic fans and retards with demands that are simply to high - go fuck yourself!

They said "right now!" That's what we were sold. That's been the issue - so to question people's patience here is bullshit.

They didn't say "Freaks4Live" is launching next year. If they had nobody would be asking or for anything. That was bad communication on their part, not a lack of patience on others! It's never been corrected in a statement by them - that's on them.

maybe you need to get down and understand something

http://launchrock.com/

i see a marketing theme with the website ad media listed above and what it's designed to do. Simple research would tell you this, but we hang on their everyword and get all pissy if they can't hold 'a date subject to change'. Why are we all so much in a hurry? Some of you here need to step away perhaps and do other things. If you don't want to be patient, Justin Beiber is looking for new people to fill his shows up.

Oh sorry to blast you but you need it. If you're telling me to fuck off. Thanks I'll remember it. You show the most sense of 'entitlement' here. Amazing, you fit right in with today's i want it yesterday society.

by the way, what does the website read??

' Official LIVE Headquarters Freaks4Live is your community! LIVE will be launching a new website and promotional contests in the near future. Share F4L with your friends. The top 10 referrals win exclusive prizes. Be the first to hear brand new music! Sign up today! Launching soon. Enter your email to join our invite list

Why are we all so much in a hurry? Some of you here need to step away perhaps and do other things.

OTD - It's not directed at you, it's directed at every jackass on this site telling others how patient they should be, how retarded they are, how they should react to what the band says, what they should believe, and what they should expect. If you take it as directed at you so be it ... you must believe you fit the criteria I outlined.

Why are we in such a hurry? - Most of us could care less if Live ever does anything else, many even have mixed feelings about it. They have a whole library of tunes to enjoy, but they keep hinting, hyping and teasing all of these things and they never happen (Churchbox, new website, TGF EP, anyone else want to chime in?) - but ..... just keep waiting.

... and some of us should step away and do other things? Good call - especially to all of those who ride any idea or comment (for years) in every damn Ed thread. It's blasphemy for some people here to accept that some may want to actually discuss the man without sarcasm and criticism injected into every conversation. Just read the threads (as if you haven't) and you can see the offenders for yourself.

The people here are not Live and they don't speak for them (although a few people for some reason seem to think they do).

Instead of a Live fan site it seems that this place has become more like a self-proclaimed Live fan hierarchy of self-appointed "privileged" fans who feel they have a stronger voice than others and have the right to invalidate others and dictate how they should react to what is going on.

react as you will. No sweat. Not sure why you're bringing up Ed. I am not the one ragging on the man anymore. This is about why everyone is pissed off that they didn't deliver anything. The social media is way too social for most of us. Perhaps they close down the channels and become filtered like when they were with the big labels.

I'm going to try and toe the line on this one as best as I can.

It's Live, a band that over the last 10 years has been constant disappointment. It's been one fall after another, and I've done my best to forget much of that. That being said, I'm excited as all hell about the future and going forward with Live. What has me disappointed is how announcements are made and the style of them.

At the Ephrata shows on 10/31/10, I was told by multiple members of TGF that they would be recording and releasing front porch versions of each song. I for one was looking forward to this as with some of those songs, my favorite versions were from the Front Porch. That never happened, and I was somewhat disappointed, because I had heard it from the source first hand and was very excited. Hopefully it will be in the works at some point. Had I been told that at some point they'd like to get in the studio and get it recorded that would have been fine. Being told that they would be out late spring/summer of 2011 was a different beast all together.

Church Box Demos, we all know the stories on these. Being told they would be released was great, but it has yet to happen. I understand that legal matters held that up, in an ideal world we would have been told that they would like to get them released and will see what needs to be done in order for that to happen.

New Live and the new Live website. Being told this summer that it would be launching soon got us all excited. It's December and nothing yet. It's all about the delivery of the information. Tell us it's being worked on and at some point it will be launched. Don't tell us it's on its way and then make us continue to wait.

Look I love the band Live, mainly the 90's era. I love TGF, and it was amazing to get to meet the guys multiple times. However, to sit back and just keep waiting and not be disappointed is not humanly possible. Telling us one thing, and it going completely upside down is upsetting.
