I have no idea if it is or isn't Ed. I'm just 95 percent certain it is way of CCP trying to gain attention for a currently stagnant project.

first of all - not calling the kettle black - i make sense, and i'm extremely funny/humorous.

i know you were chomping at the bit to flex your star wars nerd-dom and desire to oppose nick in every meaningless way, but i'm saying, ironically, that with all the posts that clearly suggest a lack of faith in CCP, you used wasted the line on one that didn't really show any blatant lack of faith, hardly made sense.

I did. If their goal with new LIVE is to imitate Ed's voice on a studio track, they did an okay job of it. However, I personally believe that trying to fool fans with an Ed knockoff isn't going to work in the short or long term.

Nick said he's not sure if it is Ed, and said even if he liked how the clip sounded and it was not Ed, that he was concerned that Live fans would not accept this sort of voice copying, and implied that he would dislike the disingenuous aspect of the situation.

I accept that you are an Ed's fan. That's ok. To critiscize everything CCP do, really annoying. But to defend him all over the place for no possibility for him to do anything wrong irritates me a lot. Can you really defend this guy for everything?

Exemple: When he lied about the origin of the writing of Overcome on a TV Show (don't remember which), was it ok for you? He said in 2001 that he wrote the song 6 months ago but there was a Youtube clip from 1998 (full band). Do you have a defense for him for this particular event? That's the best exemple I found to try to know if you are really a blind following men or if you at least can think rationnally for some particular events. I'd like to hear you on that.

So your example of me defending Ed all over the place is for me to give an opinion on something that I never commented on? Where have I defended Ed all over the place? Any examples?

Did Ed stretch the truth when out promoting a Overcome, yes he did. It really wasn't a big deal in my opinion.

true Nick it touched a lot of people I agree. I wanted your opinion on that thing and I had it. Thanks.

I thought that it showed alot of disrespect to the fans. It was the first time I was stunned negatively by a member of my favorite band. It was a break. After the disappoitment of V, Ed wasn't even able to be true to the fans.

I hope the guys were as mad at me when I saw the show. Because it was a band version back in 1998.

Anyway, the new Live will be great. Let's hope. Will always give a chance to Ed because of his voice, but he has disapointed me since V...already 10 years.

way to divert attention away from the obvious liar. it was bad, very bad, and a slap in the face to the longtime Live fans that knew about the song, and smelled like he was telling that lie to cash in on the tragedy, which was even worse.

Who cares? This was 10 years ago and maybe he said that to give more meaning to te people who used the song to cope with the horrible tragedy, not cash in..The group on this board is incredibly judgmental
