CCP have made nearly a dozen announcements/promises that haven't come to fruition. Ed had to postpone a show in a far away market twice. You really can't compare the two scenarios.

Just shut up and accept it. I don't know why you care, they're promises you have no interest in anyways. But as usual, Ed can do no wrong.

that's some list, tough to say it's not true.

But, why don't you post it on their FB pages for all to see? You take such pleasure in calling them out. You don't have the balls to do it I am sure since you got it back in your piehole last time.

At least they have integrity and emotion and a plan for what they're doing even though things are taking longer in order to properly manage:

A) A record label
B) Restarting Live
C) Getting TGF new music done
D) Planning tours (multiple bands)
E) Other Business

with no large staff to do this....mind you.

Ed's got people doing all his work for him, all he does is get on a plane and show up.
Ed's the king of cashing in.

Maybe CCP are trying to do too many things instead of putting their focus on one thing and getting it done well.

That is subjective.

Here are just a few things that CCP promised that didn't happen:

-TGF tour dates in 2011(Summer and Fall tours were promised)

-Churchbox demo's as a Holiday 2010 gift

-TGF EP album

-Freaks4Live.com website launch

-Live rarity for anyone who signs up for Freaks4Live

-Australian Tour

-Album release in Australia

-TGF opening for a big name act in 2011

-Weekly LIVE radio show

-New lead singer announcement

Some of the above may still happen, but the bloom is off the rose for most. Did I miss any?

Some of these they never gave a time frame and it is just us begging. Others like the Churchbox Sessions they missed.

You were the one who tried to involve me in this thread initially. Boredom perhaps?

Great tip you picked up from your dad there to deflect attacks by attacking in return. But this wasn't an attack or trying to "involve" you. I we just hoping you'd see the similarities and stop with the double standards. For the record even though I don't care, I don't see anything wrong with what Ed has done here, sometimes plans change and things have to be altered, that's life. It happens to Ed, it happens to CCP, it happens to all of us. I just hope that next time you personally want to have a go at CCP for this that you think back and remember this. But I should have known better, there's always a reason you'll justify Ed to be fine and them not to.

Maybe Ed postponed this date because he is working on a new Live album as the new lead singer. Or re-recording some old Live material.

On a different note...

I'm starting to wonder why I still come to this message board. It seems like I have been hanging on for years for no real good reason. The last three Live albums were sub-par. Alive is a debacle on so many levels. TGF really isn't Live. There hasn't been a compelling reason to visit a Live message board every day since 19 fricken 99. I basically come here to see Nick argue with everyone else. Why else do I come here? Can Ed or Cad or Chad or Patrick please give me a reason to keep coming to this Live message board?!?!

We keep turning up because we loved the four quality albums so much that's it just too hard to let go. You know you love a band too much when an album like SFBM doesn't turn you away forever...

when he's shunned real Live fans everywhere!! Hypocrisy at it's finest.

That didn't happen. Also, Ed's use of Live's name in the promos, and playing Live songs is deserved and normal. "Banking off it" is an overly harsh way to look at it, but his making money off it is fine anyway. No shame in using Live songs to sell a show opposed to his new album if his album isn't a big enough draw. In the time Ed was a solo act, in regards to plans, he didn't break promises to the fans the way CCP has.

Guess he's abandoned his fledgeling solo career to continue to bank on Live tunes.

His solo career was always about playing Live songs, that was not abandoned. There is no indication that he stopped playing songs from Alive or that he doesn't plan on putting out new solo material, so that has not been abandoned either.

You're saying that Ed needs to start writing solo material to draw crowds instead of playing Live songs. He'll always be associated as the singer of Live hits. It is a really high standard to have him surpass that identity as the main draw.

So much for coming to the end of a chapter in his life and wanting to spread his wings and move beyond what he had been doing.

The end of chapter was moving past being with the band LIVE. It was a horrible situation for all four guys towards the end of the run.

So by spreading his wings and moving in a new direction meant leaving Live but continuing to play Live songs?
