That's not a bad interpretation Pokey......its pretty amazing that you were able to sort of piece together one of the random ass hyperbole that OTD made up out of nowhere. Him and his goalposts and runaway busses....at least hes trying hard to express himself. And if his gibberish fails him, he can always just put up a random youtube video.

I just wish they could hurry up and announce it. I mean I'm sure they're waiting for some reason. Didn't Shinn just release a new solo album? Maybe they agreed to hold off so as to not steal the thunder from that? Then have people jumping on that and judging what he'll sound like in Live based off his own album?

I just think that for those of us who don't know it's reasonable to speculate on little clues or coincidences or whatever because we've just been left to our own devices. It may not be Shinn, doesn't mean it's not still coincidental. Whether it's him or not he's still a friend of the band so he could be following people Chad follows for that reason or because he's in Live. Who knows, but worth pointing out anyways!

I really liked Unified Theory back in the day. I was listening to their album the other day and convinced myself he's not the right choice for LIVE. For the same reasons he was not the right choice for Blind Melon, which seemed an obvious fit at first.
I hope I'm wrong, and CCP know it better, but I also hope it's not Shinn.

Seriously, this issue (and thread) is so tired and old I don't even care anymore.

Live- please just release the album without ever naming the lead singer. I don't care who it is. I'm so tired of "waiting" for this announcement that don't even want to know who you have. I just want to hear the new album so I can judge it for myself.

if they're still in the studio i doubt the album will be coming out anytime soon. maybe it would be in our collective interest NOT to rush Live into pumping out their next album smile.gif

I speculate that they are waiting until they have actual music to launch with the announcement. Seems smart especially since the singer will likely be a relative unknown. Better to let the music speak for itself.

Haha that would be cool, if they release a kick-ass album without telling us who it was that did the vocals. Dunno how they will keep it secret during live performances, maybe with a bag over his head?

im sure its been mentioned but was just catching up on my fnm and was thinking how good would mike patton be a a lead for live!? He has that lower register thing going, he's a great lkyricist and he's got an edge that ed used to have. my only concern is that maybe he's "too" cool for this band.... ?

oh and the guy knows how to juggle multiple bands at the same time smile.gif
