QUOTE(World Dreamer @ Oct 18 2011, 3:49 pm) *

I am the same way. I prefer both of those, Pearl Jam, Silverchair, Live and probably a few more over Nirvana. And it isn't even close.

Yep... and here's another band that dwarfs Nirvana: Foo Fighters.

Dave Grohl is 10x's the songwriter Kurt was, IMO. (don't smite me, Kurt fans)

In the studio CCP. DJ boring talk about CT and Pat still live in the area.
CT announcing that LIVE is back and cooking with gas. Writing brand new songs. 8th studio album.
DJ - asking about TGF.
CT - yes still a band will make more records, KM and SH are doing candlebox right now and we and they will promote our records for the next year

CT is offering TGF album to anyone who makes a donation during the 5th annual pay for play to benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

Nirvana only had 4-5 years while the FF and every other alt rock band from that time has had atleast twice that .. so its not really fair to say about that Kurt.

But I always stand behind my Local H is better than Nirvana argument.... people may laugh but the proof is there.

They talk about the website, but it's not up yet. When is it getting launched? Are they going to announce the new singer for the band when it's launched?

That was TGF announcement? Seriously?

How about an apology about how they kept telling their fans all year they would "be back in the fall!" aggressive.gif

yeah, I haven't checked the website in over a week so I got really excited when I heard CT mention it. I thought for sure it meant it was up since he mentioned it and didn't mention that it's not actually up yet.

I think it's great they're offering a free TGF album to anyone who donates... the Children's Miracle Network is awesome.

I'm selfish, though, and wanted more LIVE news!

you didn't miss much, Merica. They were on for maybe 3 minutes, and mostly to say that they were giving away the TGF album to people who make donations.
The DJ, after a commercial also announced that they will also be giving away an autographed guitar, but he didn't give the how/when details.
They did play Appetite right after the guys spoke, which I guess makes it a TGF announcement.

I'm still bummed there was not even a hint about the new singer.
