But in all seriousness, is it confirmed that the vocals were done specifically for this song, they sound like they were probably a generic free to use sound bite possibly?

Yes, that. If not, they probably would have credited the persom in the liner notes.

Sorry - I can't stand that song. I've listened to it so few times I didn't know there was a female vocal at that start.

I just remember that Sting came out with a single that had a similar vibe a few months before and it sounded like a total rip off (on top of it totally sucking).

liner notes on V say "Ed would like to especially thank Natasha Schneider for her help and inspiration with the vocals on "V" You're an angel."
and otherwise it mentions that she arranged the choir and performed on "People Like You" with Michael Railo. Without listening to both songs, I can't remember the female vocal at FMNBLE, and I don't remember a choir in People Like You. Now I must listen just because.
But the liner notes, unless I can't read, don't specifically credit a female vocalist for FMNBLE.

yes, looks like the same woman. she died of cancer in 2008, I think. Alain Johannes was her husband, I think, and he's all over V, too. But I cannot find her actually credited with vocals on FMNBLE. she is credited with being in the choir on People Like You.
I think Pokey's right - it's just a generic snippet plucked off the internet somewhere.

Wasn't FMNBLE made on request for the mummy returns movie? Maybe it's just a snippet they had to use to make it fit the movie more or something.
