Not fuckin bad at all. Simple Creed! I can live with that!

I am hoping for Rattlesnake in L.A., though...

Any other interesting parts of the setlist??

On any other night I would not have been disappointed with Simple Creed being the opening song. I enjoy it. It's a rockin' song and got the crowd going right away.

I guess the trouble started for me reading all the setlists from previous shows. I figured since they had opened with Rattlesnake at the previous 6 shows nothing would change.

It's just that that song is one of my favorites on Secret Samadhi along with Lakini's Juice and Turn My Head and I was looking forward to it. I've always loved Chad's 20 second guitar solo in the song.

It had been 10 years since I last heard Rattlesnake during the Secret Samadhi Tour and I guess I was just disappointed when I didn't hear it not only to open the concert but at all.

I felt a little snakebitten. sad.gif

But my mood quickly changed with the rest of the songs and show itself.
I'll try to post some comments on the show in my next post.

I enjoyed the show thoroughly. I've never seen Live before since they haven't been in Chicago for 5 years (except Ed's solo appearance a couple years ago). I was amazed with Ed's performance skills. I got to touch his foot, too!! And his leg!! I was like kicking.gif

I also caught a guitar pick, so that was fun. I definitely left there all happy.gif

LOL, I saw you down there rubbing up on him! I was in the balcony. It was my first Live show, and it was simply the best show I've seen. ever. I'll probably head up to WI this summer to see them again.

I saw them at the House of Blues in 2003 in Chicago, a private show sponsored by Q101, but this show was much better. Different selection of songs, more encores, crowd and band energized. Great show.

I was there and Ed said they'd try to get back in the fall.
He also said this July 14, 2003 at the House of Blues and nothing ever happened.
So I'm not anticipating another return this year.
But I'd be the first to go if they did.

It sure would be nice if they did! I would be there in a heart beat. I hope they don't wait forever to come back again.
