I know that TGF wasn't able to get the music to the masses. It wasn't my point. It was only a "if". On 100 people in the music industry, 98 would say TGF is better artistically and in general anyway. But not 100 people in music industry heard the album. This I know.

I don't really care about the fact thet didn't sell that much, My only regret is that Ididn't attend to a concert because they didn't play close to home. Ed did, but I never donsidered to go. To hear some Live songs played by 2/7 of the band (I consider Adam here for less than one member) and a bunch of background clowns made me sick.

Very positive about the new Live songs though. Because with time we discovered that CCP ARE the core of the band. Live fell down when they stopped giving their heart and soul because the other guy decided to take it.

It also almost fact that "people in the music industry" do not feel the same way as you do about TGF, because if they did, they wouldve signed them and given them some suppurt to tour more extensively than they did. The CD was great and although the objective was clearly not to reach pop status or sell massive amount of copies, TGF failed to get the music out to the people. If I asked 100 random people if they have even heard of TGF, 0-1 would say they have. I am no way, shape or form calling TGF a music failure, because that is so far from the truth. They did, however, fail on other fronts. Do not tell me that didnt matter to the band, because it does. They would much rather play to 2,000 fans than 75. The goal was to make music they love primarily but I am sure they expected a bigger reception from a wider audience. The vast majority of people at concerts and who know the CD are candebox and live fans.

Ed, for that matter, has failed musically and has also failed to deliver his music to a new audience but lets not claim that TGF was a success in ever facet.

I couldn't EVER disagree with you more if I tried.

FACT that people in the music industry didn't feel the same way?? How would you even come close to knowing that????

The obvious reason TGF didn't get picked up is far beyond anything you could ever even begin to understand. Do you have the basic capacity to understand that the marketability of a ROCK band is basically zero?? That POP and RAP music combines for about 95% percent of the music that the big shots are willing to put their money behind?? Even the rock acts that are out there are basically pop rock bands, except the VERY FEW that have managed to survive like PJ, Radiohead and a few others.

Rock music is a dying genre and has been for over a decade now. Big wigs are far more interested in signing boy bands and the likes of Lady Gaga types and all the crooning R&B type crap we're force fed nowadays. There are utterly less than 20 true rock acts out there that still have corporate backing behind them.

TGF not getting the backing they needed had nothing to do WHATSOEVER with the quality of the music and any intelligent person could say that as plain as day. The audience for that type of music is so limited that the chances of making money off of it are just as limited. The big radio execs automatically go for these young pop singers because their audience is literally a million times the size. Young people under 30 are the ones that buy all the music nowadays and they are the target for these guys. Young girls under 20 for the first time aare actually the majority as far as purchasing music and merchandise goes. Why do you think crap like Hanna banana Montana was some popular and went nuts with even movies and all that crap??

FACT is that TGF wasn't marketable to a large audience and the quality of music had absolutely sweet fuck all to do with it.

They are well more than 20 rock acts currently with corporate backing. Roadrunner backs over 10 themself with the addition of Loud and Proud Records.

Dude, you're such a fucking moron, I couldn't ever imagine anyone being bigger. What you consider rock...and what rock actually is, are something completely different. These bands nowadays like Maroon 5, Arcade Fire and Alexis on Fire or whatever the fuck their names are, aren't rock bands in any sense of the word really.

Just as no matter how hard you try and think so, neither has anything Ed has done over the past 10 years.

I was about to say the same thing. The fact he eats up the title of Eds band as "FULL ROCK BAND" means he hasn't a clue. Eds backing band are far from a "full rock band".

I think he means to say guitars, bass & drums equals a full rock band, which in theory it does. It does NOT mean that band will ROCK.

Surely that would be "Full Band Show" ? Not saying it's a full ROCK band! Not that I really care, but if you're being technical.

Where did this guy go? Pokey must be right, he was eaten by wolves or something and came back as the new Ed. Seriously. This Ed was awesome, quirky and weird, but awesome.

I think he means combining songs from SFBM and Alive to make one album as he's stated before. Personally I think the modified version should be a whole album of whoever slowed down Mystery to get "black Kowalczyk.mp3".

Ha, I should make a black version of an alive song... I think Soul whispers would sound great. I am at work but I will work on it this week.
