I thought he was bald because he was trying to be cool. Then when V came out, and he had some hair on the cover, I realized he was shaving his head to hide the fact that he was losing his hair.

He still looks like Andre Agassi a bit.

Fifth down on the left...http://espn.go.com/page2/s/looking/archive.html

Off topic, but some of the other "look-alikes" on there are pretty accurate and hilarious.

Ed is still touring with a setlist of Live songs because he knows if he sings too many Alive songs or makes another album the music Gods will strike him down.

Fact: There are more good songs on the TGF album than there are good songs released by Live in the last decade.

I have actually enjoyed the later Live albums, but even so its near impossible to dispute this point. Well stated.

Not a fact, that is clearly the definition of an opinion. An opinion I 100 percent disagree with.

an opinion, yes, but if you asked people in the music industry, what would be the percentage of people voting for TGF? Come on Nick! Seriously I would say 98%.

TGF's album is not a masterpiece, but a very strong album worked with the collaboration of 5 people.

Ed? He wrote 12 non-factor songs (well I like Grace, Zion and Drive) by himself Some of the songs are alike (in the same key) Can't you see the difference in the depth of the music? The chemistry between instruments? The live performances?

It's ok not to like old school rock. But to always hit on them talking about the fact that Ed is still touring and blablabla is pointless, useless and showing that finally, popularity and sales are more important than the music itself...

AWFUL!

It is about as close to fact as an opinion can get.

The first time I listened to SFBM I wondered, briefly, if Live had stopped writing their own songs.

My almost 4 year old daughter likes to make up songs on the fly. Her song quality literally sounds like V lyrics and are about as deep as SFBM/Alive lyrics. And that isn't really much of an exaggeration.

Hell, throw some CCP instrumental in the background and I bet I could fool some of you with a new "B-Side" called "Ariel is my best friend and we like crackers alot and we eat them".

But no, you are right Nick. Just opinion.

The loss of complexity in the lyrics and the toning down of the instrumental aspects is what ruined SFBM for me. I wasnt really fussed if Ed had found what he was looking for spiritualy, just wished he had put the passion into the lyrics to make me think and let the boys express their thoughts instrument wise. If i can figure a song out the first time i listen to it, what will make me come back to it? This is what Ed and the boys did for me in their first 4 albums (make me think and listen again) and there is my problem with ALIVE. The passion is there but not the complexity to draw me in, its ideas are presented blandly, lryic wise and instrumental wise. just my opinion on where Ed lost me.......??????

Nick, did you strat listening to Live only when BOP came out? It surely feels like that!

There is lots of great bands and music out there, sorry to see you spending time on some blankfazed records.

With Love,

Vadim
