So did I actually read somewhere that there was a singular incident (or a final incident) between Chad Gracey & Ed that really pissed Chad off to the point of a major fall out between the two of them?
Besides the obvious shit that Chad T. originally blogged about, like an argument or the behavior of Ed getting to Chad G. etc.

As someone who is married, if CT's wife really hates ED there is no way he will ever rejoin Live. That would be absolute hell for CG. nod.gif

Don't get me wrong, I don't know the specifics of it. But a lot of the time, putting two and two together isn't very hard to do. The last two times I saw Live perform, I also observed that backstage, there was no conversation or communication between Ed and the rest of the band. Something was obviously very wrong and I'm not at liberty to say what that was, because I do not know specifically. What I do know is that Ed was being a huge dick towards his bandmates and there was some serious shit being spewed. Don't know if you guys read TGF's facebook page a wys back, but Chads wife was on there dropping some fucking bombs on Ed, as was CG. They were both very, VERY angry with him.

And let me tell you that from the times I met CG and his wife, you couldn't meet two nicer down to earth people. CG is simply not the type of guy whatsoever to fly off the handle like that and neither is his wife. I'm sure many of you have met CG and that not one of you EVER had a bad experience with him. He is not like CT, the kind of guy to get a tad emotional and wear his heart on his sleeve. He is quiet, down to earth, genuine, friendly and kind at every turn. For him to blow up and say the things he was saying about Ed at the time, said just about everything you would need to know. There are things involved that I know first hand, and some I don't. None of it is really any of my fucking business to begin with, so I am not going to discuss specifics with you.

Why not? Out of respect for all of the people involved. People that I adore and respect and treat like my own family. They mean more to me than any fight between anyone. On top of that, I think that CG is probably regretting some of thos things now that time has passed. These four guys were like brothers. They truly love one another. Something happened that broke that trust and caused some pretty deep wounds. Common sense should tell you all of that. Read between the fucking lines and its not to hard to see the big picture. I don't know the exact cause, nor do I care to know.

What I do care about hoever is that these four guys, who I've grown attached to over the past 15 years, are at odds with one another. You see how much it hurts us, can you imagine how much it's hurting these guys and their families?? These guys all know each others wives and children and all that. They've been friends and brothers since they were kids. Can you imagine how much they must be hurting?? CG reacted in such perfuse anger for a god damned reason, he was hurt very deeply by whatever happened. I think he felt betrayed by one of his own and he lashed out any way he could. CG does not have it in him IMO to be spiteful for no good reason and after meeting his lovely wife a few times?? I would confidently venture to say that neither does she.

Bottom line for me?? These guys changed my entire life with their music. Their message slapped me in the face harder than anyone ever could. As stupid as it sounds, these guys were like angels in a sense, just as my children were. I was on a path to utter destruction and their music helped me realize that I had a chance, that all WASN'T lost. I can still remember a few nights back in 94, sitting there with all the lights out in pure darkness, with my stereo cranked, listening to the music and feeling.....not so alone anymore. Feeling enlightened in a sense, empowered....like THERE WAS something left to believe in. I've always felt quietly like I owe these guys something.

And I try to pay them back by being a good father to my gorgeous, wonderful children. I adore them more than life itself. I try to pay them back by being the type of person I've always wanted to be deep down, instead of letting the world have its way with me and turn me into something I am not. LIVE gave me direction, hope and the ability to face my own spiritual beliefs. Because at that point, I was ignoring them and I was letting the world mold me into a fucking scumbag. The aura and messages of this band helped save me and I'll forever be indebted to them.

Over time, from my experience far and near, I've learned that they are awesome people as well. That's why hearing people like Nick talking about their behavior in some instances is just completely asinine. I know for fact that these guys would not have reacted so harshly without just cause. Am I disappointed in Ed. Hell yeah. His voice rang heavily right through the very core of me on many lonely nights. Nights when I was searching for answers to my own demons. Although I no longer support Ed, I hope they all find the forgiveness inside of them that they need to heal those wounds. No matter how long it takes. They may never be bandmates again, but hopefully they can somehow remember what they once had as friends and get that part of it back.

You're spot on there Luke. I've often thought that, how it must have taken something pretty serious to get that kind of reaction out of CG. CT as you say, wears his heart on his sleeve and he'll never let it be a secret how he feels. But Gracey has always been the quiet guy in the back, the team player, the guy who didn't even want to show off and do drum solos, the guy who approached me when we met and introduced himself ... to make him fly off the handle like that you know something must have cut really deep.
You can say "he shouldn't have said those things in public to hurt Ed's credibility!" all you want, but the fact of the matter is, why not ask what Ed did to evoke that kind of reaction from CG. Anyone who thinks that CG had no good reason and purely only did it to hurt Ed and "split the fans" as we've heard before is quite simply just looking at it through bias eyes and seeing what they want to see.

Luke, spot on, bullseye.

The one casting the vemon back at CCP with no real arguement other than nah nah nah nah nah.....simply can't look himself in the mirror and see perhaps those people who are idolized are bad / not right on the inside more than you think., they become CORRUPTED by Greed and Evil, so defending them to the end does what exactly?

Couldn't have said this any better (I am unfortunately not able to give rep point...dunno why). I applaud you for keeping stuff to yourself. I know it's sometimes super hard to do, but it goes a long way! If one of the guys wants to tell me stuff, they can and I will listen with an open mind, but other than that, it's none of my biz. I'm just ready for some new music!

Thanks guys. People can contradict it with their " well how can believe you if you won't tell" bullshit all they want. I sincerely do not care about that one bit. I know what I know and if it was anybodies business, or if I was at liberty to share I would. I do not consider myself special for knowing anything. Nor do i care who believes it.

It's just very disheartening to hear ANYONE knock a guy like CG, or doubt his motives. For he has never done anything to anyone that would lead one to believe he would do so. It's a shame that people aren't smart enough to put two and two together and understand WTF is going on.

To hear people like Nick bag on him is fucking sickening. He knows nothing about the situation and that is completely obvious. Supporting Ed and consistently bagging on these guys is just fucking pathetic in my eyes. Lay with the devil and he''l burn you eventually Nick.

What an awesome post .... Gracey has always been my favorite member of Live. It's good to know that in reality he actually is the way that I always thought he might be. Glad that you are in a better place now and I personally think it's pretty cool that Live was a part of getting you to that place. :-)

Thanks. I think Gracey is a genuinely kind and gentle human being. I'm 100% positive that something dramatic happened to make him snap in that manner. In all the years we've known this band from the sidelines, he's been the most friendly and happy go lucky of the four. After meeting him several times, and after speaking with people who actually know him, and hundreds of others who've encountered him, I've yet to hear of one single instance where he's been anything but genuinely gracious and friendly.

Of all four band members, I would defend Gracey with passion and for good reason. It has nothing to do with any "CCP fantasy" as this Bremang idiot seems to want to throw around. These guys are people, just like the rest of us. I just simply admire the type of person CG is. Him snapping with the ferocity that he exuded after this incident speaks volumes as to who was to blame in this situation. People just don't want to put 2 and 2 together sometimes, or THEIR OWN ED FANBOYISMS just won't allow them to see past any of it.
