"Chris has better range than Ed."

Now THAT'S some funny shit.

Good show man!

As far as this goes, it is good exposure for the band. While some of us may think it is "gay" or "stupid" because the show sucks, personally I think late night TV shows suck yet they play those whenever a new album drops. There's a while load of people who watch the show, and from a business point of view it would be idiotic to turn down the oppertunity. That said, I agree with whoever posted that Epic is really missing the boat by delaying the album release. IF this American Idol thing is true, they are going to miss loads of sales. I work at a Best Buy and I hope I work the day after this shindig to point people in the direction of the Live albums. I will probably tell them to buy Secret Samadhi smile.gif

Later!

I love Live to death, but ed has almost no range. hence the falsetto that so many of us love on notes that a lot of other singers hit in natural voice.

And, American Idol is way less gay than when Clay Aiken was on it. That gut was practically servicing men on stage he was so gay.

aggressive.gif hmmmm, Live in Idols, sounds weird

The only way I would like it, is when Live is gonna rock so they can show everyone they're still as good in rockin' as they were in 1994, and show also that Idols is just stupid in comparisson with REAL music

But I don't think that's gooing to hapen smile.gif

Shit I didn't even notice Jeff. But I did notice they didn't bother to put their names underneath like they do for all of the other "stars." huh.gif

On the subject of range, I don't think Chris really has any but what do I know?

Yeah that is the same thing I was thinking. It's what Chris has done all along really. He always chose songs that he wanted to regardless. Getting Live mentioned on that show was a really big deal. If they perform on there maybe some people will stand up and take notice. Chris sure did stick around for a long time considering the fact he was singing Fuel and Shinedown songs. Personally I think it's damn cool that the show is giving some real bands some exposure for once. It certainly can't hurt.

yeah, he was to Carl's right. I can't miss his red beard! And I was irritated that they didn't put their name at the bottom of the screen. I also noticed Carl looking extremely bored during Taylor's last song

Wow, I couldn't disagree with you more huh.gif

Ed has one of the most amazing voices - ever. period.

Listen to Walk the Line, and then listen to Sparkle - and then try and say he has no range thumbsup.gif

Those are the best examples you could find of Ed's range? That's not saying much. Sparkle is actually a good example of notes that most singers hit in natural voice. Ever heard a live version of that song?

And Ed has one of the most amazing voices ever? You can't honestly believe that. Is Chad also the most amazing guitarist ever?

What I don't understand is why Ed continues to bash American Idol at the recent concerts but then (supposedly) plans to actually go on to the show. Seems quite contradictory to me. huh.gif

If my label wasn't giving me any promotion, I'd want to be on a show with 20 million viewers. For the most part those who heard him talk crap about the show at recent shows will forgive him. I would be more upset if a guy who idolized Live got turned down by the band to perform with him because they thought they were "too cool" for the show.

wow dude you really believe Live can do no wrong and that the record lables are evil don't you? tongue.gif

I'd be cringing though if this being the show all about singing and Ed being the big professional rockstar singer comes on and gives another performance like the VH1 show where his voice kept failing every time he went for a high note.

Live and their current material/direction is a pretty good fit for Idol though. Honestly I couldn't care less.

Fuck. Live can not get on American Idol without paying. If I ran American Idol I would not have Live on there for free. It would only hurt my show. Its all about money. Think about it. Live being on there would add nothing to the empire. This has nothing to do with good music either so dont chime in with that shit. If anything, Live will pay out the ass like they did with MLB.com and they will show 20-30 secs of "Finalist Chris Daughtry singing with his Idol" while in the meanwhile he is in bed with Fuel.

And after the performance he will bang the shit out of 2 of Live's wives and leave with Fuel. Sorry for the graphic truth.
