you might be right that Ed's and CCP's musical inputs were becoming known, but to me OTD came at an opportune time with his own unique outlook and unique posting habit as a very passionate fan/ personal representative of CCP.

Maybe he broke up Live and promoted CCP because he owns Untamed Industries.

I was agreeing with poke that people may have known about the seperation of ccp and ed musically before the breakup, not just odt, but then differentiating otd from these people, just to explain why i made the joke or show why it isn't an outlandish idea. i personally didn't like his approach, hardcore ccp fans didn't even seem to notice - and really enjoyed it. thats all.

I gave you the truth on why I signed on with a name when I did. You don't believe my story behind it, you stated so, fine and dandy. You're entitled to your opinion.

You think my screen name makes a statement? It certainly does. It reflects what kind of dedicated Live fan I became after the years of shift to the Ed show, no more 'the band', only solo, ego, self goals, step over and finally, deception.

i never said your story about the guy on the plane wasn't true...but I did describe it to be an incredible coincidence, and was suspicious because your neighbor on the plane said Live was "done" even though Live weren't actually "done" at the time. Meanwhile, just before you told us that story, you were also having some confusion about the difference between the hiatus and the breakup in terms of the dates they occurred, you were thinking that the hiatus meant "done", and i thought that you being mistaken about the event on the board and that the guy was mistaken in your story over the same thing was also very coincidental.

i didn't realize that your screen name was so meaningful for you. As far as deception goes, you were OTD before the deception part was part of the discussion. I suppose that only gives your name greater meaning to you now, though I really hope we learn more about the deception part. but thats great that you are so passionate about it.

Nick's approach has been mostly commerce. Not music. I don't even know what it takes to find anything meaningful in stats about the music, but I know it shouldn't influence our personal subjective opinion.

Sorry to say but you're pretty terrible at it. No one seems to know exactly what you're trying to say. The gist of what I understood is you accused OTD of being a plant, it was strongly denied. You then said you really didn't believe that (again with the devils advocate arguments) but that with how it's gone down you could see how he could have been a plant, even though he's not. Why does it not just end there? Yes I could see how Nick *could* be an EK plant, but i know that he's not. That's all. I don't get what the fascination is beyond that point.
The street team being that with so much of OTD's actions he's acting no different than someone on a street team would. So does that make everyone there an insider because they like to promote?

My story about being told Live broke up (person telling me 'done'), hence I came here to check on news & validity and finding a band hiatus. I wasn't confused whatsover. I caught up with the board for a day or before I posted. I even stated that whatever was causing the hiatus that they could find their peace and get back together making real collaborative Live music....you're rich and fantastic with your words. I didn't get really pissed after the CT blog, but for years felt the divide was widening, as many many other good folks here. Out to Dry in terms of being put off by the band's direction and I basically stopped following, and an analogy of a BOP song. I guess I have to spell it out better but I like to be 'subtle'

I hear what you're saying. I believe he's probably not hired by Chad, but I didn't know for sure. I talked about what I thought was suspicious. Partly because I dislike that sort of street team approach to the board when it becomes overbearing, posting a million times just to tap every single person on the back, or many other things that seemed like tactics. And I felt like defending all the accusations about me that were in response to my joke. Thats were all that extra talk is coming from despite not knowing something for sure. We all speculate about many things here, huge part of these boards.
