Last week at the Boston concert Ed said that they will be performing on American Idol with Chris Daughtry. It was assumed it was a joke, but then I heard today that they are in fact performing on there. It is suppose to be filmed Monday and then aired Tuesday. We shall see . . .

This is what I was hinting at. Epic will have an artist perform on a show with over 20 million viewers, and there will be no new CD for the public to purchase. Whoever moved the CD to June 13th, when the boys are overseas, should be shown the door. At least Awake should benefit with a huge sales increase that week.

Whether you like Idol or not, it is great exposure for Live to be playing on the show, especially if they play one of their hits. It will reintroduce Live to fans that probably didn't even know they still existed.

Where did you hear that today? I have a hard time believing it's true. Next Tuesday the Final 2 perform, and why would Chris perform on there and steal their show?

They don't usually bring back eliminated contestants to sing at all. Maybe they'd do something like that for the finale, but I really wouldn't think so.

I totally agree that it is pointless to book Live to play on TV when there isn't even an album out there to promote. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Hummm, maybe it's the next Tuesday when the other finalist are brought back. I don't watch the show so I don't know how many more episodes there are. But Live will be in CA May 23-24 so they can film it and then it's aired later.

Just looked this up on Wikipedia: Season 4

"The fourth season finale featuring Bo Bice and Carrie Underwood aired May 24-May 25. It featured appearances by former auditioners, and celebrity cameos by Kenny G, Rascal Flatts, David Hasselhoff, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, George Benson, Billy Preston, Babyface and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The winner of the competition was Carrie Underwood."

... after reading that, it wouldn't surprise me if Live performed with Chris. Each former contestant will probably sing a short version of a song w/ their favorite artists like last year.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm....I won't believe it until I actually see it.

But this would be majorly disappointing to me, despite the fact that it would get the band a shitload of exposure, and it is always nice to see them on tv.

Well hmm. I remember last year the two finalists performed with their favorite bands or whatever. Bo played with Skynard and they aired that. I thought it was only the final two that did that though. The thought did enter my mind about Chris performing with them if he made it until the end but I never thought it would actually happen. It would be great exposure that is for sure! But wait, how are we supposed to be able to tell Ed apart from Chris?! lol.gif

And was it just me or did anyone else see Carl Bell in the front row last night? I guess he got tickets before he knew Chris was axed. Looks like Chris is going to front Fuel if things go Carl's way.
