I've been watching some Chris Shinn live vids. I hope if this is true that he puts down the guitar sometimes and really rocks out with the crowd. He and his band are not the most energetic in the videos that I watched.

I remember a month or so ago that the guys said they were heading down to Nashville to record new tunes. When I searched for Chris Shinn on YouTube it showed clips of him playing in a studio in Nashville. Not sure if the Chris Shinn rumor to front LIVE still has legs or if the coincidence of Nashville was mentioned previously? Hopefully we'll have some new information very soon!

Did they say they were actually recording, or just going to Nashville? It's fuzzy to me.

Anyway, I doubt if it's him that you'd find videos of it happening before the announcement.

Just in case you didn't know, Chris Shinn is on Twitter. He's quite active on there - always seems to be posting funny photos.
http://twitter.com/chrisshinn
I had a look through the people he follows... included on the list are: The Gracious Few, Chad Taylor, Adam Kowalczyk and Chad Gracey.

Hey I'm a long time lurker. Think i'm been reading this site since it first came to the surface.
Never posted her before. Been a Live fan since i saw I alone on MTV in 95.
I been to two Live shows, one gracious few show in London and Ed in Oslo Norway ( where i'm from). I'm more of a Gracious Few fan then ED fan because he has become so soft and because of all the bullshit he has done in the recent years. I also to like my rock over soft poprock. Even though i went to his show in Oslo because he has been a huge part of my life in so many years. His show was actually pretty great.

Enough about me.

I was checking out youtube and came across this guy.

He could be a good replacement for ED great.

I will be more active on this site since I'm feeling excited about Live again. It's been along time since TDTH which in my prospective is the last great Live record.

I love this site and i'm checking it for news every day.

Keep this site going guys.

Talk to you later.

Magnus

Please don't take any offense to this, but when I just watched that video and saw some other bald guy singing a cover of Live's Dolphins Cry, and I think about some new lead singer with CCP joining Live and touring, performing old Live songs... the thought of that makes me want to cry. I actually felt a little nauseous. Ed! Why?!?! Just why?!?! I want to go back in time and feel that magic I felt when I first saw Live in concert. It was indescribable. And as soon as I got home I looked to find this message board and share my passion for the band with other fans. I hope I get over this. Live was the musical love of my life. Live with a new lead singer will be like being a widower and trying to fall in love with your dead wife's younger sister.

With the way things were posted and said on facebook and what Dangum found I can't say I'm positive it's Shinn but I'd be surprised at this point if it wasn't him.

I found a studio recording of "Pyramid Song" (Radiohead song) that Chris Shinn posted online a while back. Excellent sound quality and in my opinion a great version of the track.
Check it out:
