Hopefully the quick studio time will make for an energetic record. The last one just lacked that energetic umph.

Meaning Into the Sun?

Every song on that record is great! Stand, Bitches, Underneath it All, How Does it Feel, pure rock with tons of energy, with some rock ballads. The song Into the Sun has an amazing guitar solo. Lover Come Back to Me has the best blusey, sexy feel to it! How often do you get a record that you can listen to beginning to end that covers all bases. I think you should take another listen. nod.gif

I really liked a lot of the songs on the album, don't get me wrong. I just wasn't as big on the way it was recorded. To me, it sounded too polished to be a Candlebox record. Also, many of the songs were mid-tempo which made the whole thing drag a little.

I really love almost all of the songs individually. The thing as a whole though seemed to lack energy.

When do I find out that you are really Peter Klett? lol.gif

Candlebox recorded a cover of Damone's Out Here All Night. I always kind of hated this song, but they did it well, which made me like it a little more. It does sound to me like the record version will be a little heavier than when they were playing it live back in '06.

OHAN from studio

My video from '06

Saw Candlebox last night at the Tulsa State Fair. Good show. Kevin mentioned that they finished up their album and it will be released around February. They played a few new songs that sounded good.
