"Some things are just bigger than rock n' roll. We spend a great deal of time promoting our music but we know that the LIVE community has always been about so much more. Ed wrote me last night asking if we would take a look at www.faminenomore.org and join him in his efforts to eradicate hunger.

I think he puts it best in his own words, "I've been working with World Vision for about a year now (got over 200 kids hooked up with sponsors at my shows so far). They are pushing super hard to save lives in the horn of africa right now. 29,000 kids under the age of 5 have died since this current famine started. It's unbelievable. I look at my new baby and can't even begin to imagine the horror of what it must feel like to watch her go hungry. You're a dad of three too, so i know you can relate.

If you would post a link to your facebook pages and even just a few people decided to give something, sponsor a kid, or just spread the word...it could literally save lives.

thanks man
ed k"

Nice to see despite all that has happened, Ed and Chad are trying to work together for a greater cause. Classy move by both parties. I know we all have been critical of this situation between Ed and LIVE, but lets not be judgmental on this topic or any of the parties involved and let it stand on its own.

Strange that Ed and he are able to still communicate in private yet Ed can't bring them up at all without being prompted.

Still as Good Pain says, nice to see light being shed on a bigger issue.

The spirit of Live lives on. This goes to show all the back and forth TGF / Ed / Old Live / New Live squabble is rediculous. There's no problem with enjoying and supporting all of it.

Hopefully this thread will not become another derailment.

The statement "your website" is just another clear indication from Ed that he personally decided to moved on from Live and does not want to continue with it at this time. I don't get the impression that he is upset with Live moving on. He's happy with what he's doing.

Hating the band for carrying on without Ed, when it is obvious that he has no interest in being with Live at this time, continues to amaze me.

I believe he said "your facebook page" not "your website". I think he could be referring to any number of facebook pages that CT mods.

But you're right, there is no reason to hate on Live for carrying on without Ed.

I don't think people hate them for carrying on [me included]...i think people are just a little taken aback by it. Yet when we try and express how we feel we get called names and made fun of constantly.
I can never word myself that great but i do not hate the guys for moving on. At least the guys can be civil to some extent and that is good. I could only wish most fans would follow suit here.
That would be nice. This is a nice thing to see however.

See what i mean? This.
I came in peacefully..not trying to stir anything and this is what happens.
And exactly, everyone HERE should take that as their own medicine.
Not just myself because I can be the nicest person in the world once you get to know me. Most people do turn nasty when made fun of.
There is a lot more i loved about live than just the singer.

No It's fine that you come in peace but you lurk here with the intention to start riots. If you can't accept what I am saying then I don't give a fuck.

And I will say, she won't own up to the crap she pulled here recently. Its all sunshine and rainbows for her now. For her personal attacks on me, my replies were met with crickets. But this is a nice gesture and in the best interest of the board., consider it done.

I agree Thanks red.

OTD, i really don't have anything to own up to here. You have personally attacked me on many occasion as well so should you own up as well? I do not lurk here with the intention to start riots either. You may believe that but it's not fact. Sometimes i just don't have anything to say.

Again, this was a nice thing of ed to do. Carrying onward.

Dude the only reason you got attacked was because you came in all guns blazing asking for a fight, that is all.

I can accept people being a little apprehensive about Live without Ed. Hell I still am, I don't know how I'll feel the first time I hear new Live. I have faith that it'll be good because I am a fan of CCP's work and I know they can produce the goods, but still, you never 100% know for sure. So it's a strange time. But people who go all "there is no Live without Ed" and "this is a fake version of Live!" who have absolutely made up their minds before anything even happen shit me. Its fine to be cautious but to completely dismiss it when the core group of Live is still there, just seems unreasonable to me *shrugs*
