like himaalan cold winter
these jaws of kali yuga
yeah it's a crazy kind of cold
a lifeless slumber in a stranglehold
yeah tibet, she can't even touch this
I'd rather freeze in her forests
we're in a spiritual winter
and I long for the one who is

Fire!
amongst the dreamers
you are in my heart

like the sun on the icecaps
my only friend in the prison
the long lost meaning to the story, story
the divine and ancient wisdom
how could it be that you've graced my night?
like a pardon from the governor
like a transplant from the donor
like a gift from the one who is

Fire!
amongst the dreamers
you are in my heart
Fire!
amongst the dreamers
you are in my heart

in a place where everything dies
it's you I follow
see by the fire
of my darlin', yeah!

Fire!
amongst the dreamers
you are, you are
in my heart

like a pardon from the governor
like a transplant from the donor
like a kiss, like a kiss, from my darlin' yeah

cool.gif

CRAP I miss this.

I think this song more than any other on TDTH embodies the sound and philosophy of songwriting that is the hallmark of what I'd consider to be my favourite incarnation of the band +Live+

In simpler terms, Meltdown is a fucking beast go listen to it.

i always visualise this song as a music video and its similar to the operation spirit clip, guys dancing around a fire in their mature years, shirts off and just going nuts. Their in a temple and Ed is on his knees worshiping the jaws of kali yuga! Lol drugs and shit.

My favorite song from TDTH, really raised their game on that track I thought. I often wonder how things may have been different if that was also released as a single. I think there would be interest from places u wouldn't normally see interest in Live. It's a shame it's so under the radar and there's only the 1 live recording from NC that I know of circulating for this tune. It's so well put together, each piece fits masterfully. Man, those we're the days....sure do miss those days.

I have to pay the community a service. Found the old thread and this has been talked of recently as well.

http://www.fansoflive.com/forums/index.php...1&hl=viper+room (by Dangum)

So I took the liberty of getting it for my ipod. I think CrashIn2Me was looking for it.

I have 4 other versions 1998 in Lancaster PA and Louisville KY. Charlotte being the other boot which I know is linked in the MM threads. I can upload the Louisville one later as I'll have to get the track off another storage device wink.gif In total there were 6 known recordings :

5/28/98 Viper Room in Cali
6/9/98 Chameleon Club Lancaster PA
6/11/98 Chameleon Club Lancaster PA
6/20/98 Charlotte NC
5/14/00 Warner Theater Erie PA
5/16/00 Palace Theater Louisville KY

Here's the Viper room version (mp3 & mp4)

http://www.mediafire.com/?1il5lbmxyz565

This is one of those magical tracks that was all too supressed!!! Good Band interaction and togetherness!!!
Wish we had Walk in the Dream digitally.

love the viper room recording, that was the original version of meltdown yes? "yeh i long for that touch of grace..." which didnt appear on the final album version. a few lines were missing though, namely my favourite live lyric of all....

"...The dark destiny of man unfolds..."

replace 'man' with 'live'

Yes!!! Thank you OTD!! Once again proving you are the man of the people and a legend! MOST appreciated. One of my favorite songs by far, so under-appreciated it borders on being a crime...can't wait to DL these. Woo Hoo! I completely forgot about The Chameleon video that had this.

I agree, I'd love a live version of We Walk In The Dream. Any idea if it was ever played live? I don't ever recall seeing it on a set list. Truly the last studio song that has passionate Ed vocals. That build up before the guitar solo is amazing.

Same thing w/ Feel The Quiet River Rage, besides the tease we get in I Alone from The Distance To Hague I don't know of any live recording of the entire song. Do u (or anyone) know of any?

Thanks again Bob!! Have a great weekend.
