It happened a while ago but Candlebox used to have a Forum on it's website and they completely took it down.

I was on it when TGF was getting started. Kind of a bummer to see it gone with all the stuff happening right now.

Most Candlebox fans didn't seem to really care about The Gracious Few at all.

So there yo go. Youre such a fucktard.

THe guy who ran the CB message board stopped it over 2 years ago. Actually most CB fans love TGF and certainly want more. You failed again kid, pull your lip over your head and swallow.

If most Candlebox and most LIVE fans were into The Gracious Few, the band would have been a huge success. The Candlebox message board had one "small" thread about the Gracious Few. A good number of fans were upset about Kevin Martin leaving Candlebox after the band just got back together 3 years earlier.

The candle box and tgf following are pretty much on par. He never left the band. It was always spoken by him and the other guys that they were only on hiatus...they have contractual dates to play.
They have Lotus CRush currently existing at the same time (drummer & guitarist)...with new tour dates upcoming this fall. Why can't you accept reality and simply give up these stupid arguements? Youre really a pest. The CB fans couldn't be upset as they got continuous tour dates since TGF was formed.

You fail time and time again.

It was also spoken by Kevin Martin that TGF was the main focus. I'm sure that didn't endear the band to Candlebox fans.

Candlebox and TGF following on par?

Yes but you hung on that word as bible. Things change. All bands are co-existing and working on material. Live is coming back, TGF stuff is being worked on, CB touring and recording a new record. Why can't you come off your position, you're totally off base.

Yes they are on par. I follow the fanbases. The hardcore CB fans who follow CB also love TGF. You don't know this.....I do. I've met many of them.

Ok seriously, why don't you stick to being an authority on Ed, because you really know nothing about Candlebox, their fans, their shows, etc.

First of all, as someone who was on that message board every day, I can tell you that NO ONE was upset about The Gracious Few. Maybe someone commented once asking if Candlebox was breaking up. That's it. Everyone was very supportive of the guys and their side projects, and from what I remember excited to hear The Gracious Few and Lotus Crush also. It's all a win win situation which equals to more music from musicians we love!

As for it being a small thread, it was listed in other music, as was The Hiwatts thread, because it is other music, NOT Candlebox.

I still can't even figure out why you were even on the Candlebox message board. You don't like them, not a fan, don't like Kevin. It's really kind of weird to be snooping around a message board of a band that you don't even like, just to find some negativity.

I am looking forward to new Candlebox, new TGF and new Live!

I have said my peace, now I am done! yahoo.gif

Interesting how you can somehow speak to what CB and TGF fans think when you despise both bands. Even more interesting that you would even care.

The Candlebox forum was never hugely active. They don't really have much of a fan community online, and for that matter neither do Live or Ed K. Yeah there's a lot of members but there are less than 20 of us who post with any kind of frequency.

Forums aren't a good indication of ANYTHING these days, they simply aren't as popular as they once were.

Im here because of Candlebox, not because of LIVE. Have always just been a bigger CB fan, while I still enjoyed LIVE's early records too.

I like how he says they would have been a success.... like if the "hardcore" fans from both camps got together the band would have been catapulted to fame.
Think again... there arent many hardcore for either band left. This is 2011.

The sad reality is most casual fans of both bands have no idea TGF even exist. There is no room for real rock in this day in age. Everyone Ive introduced TGF to (who are fans of both bands, usually) are surprised there was a Gracious Few record.... and ALL appreciate it. I havent given the album to one person who hasnt dug it.

That's exactly it! As people get older to state they are a hardcore fan means that they are still listening to the old records. Not many people even knew about the last Candlebox record. I was giving that one out left and right also.

I have a friend who thinks he's on top of the music scene. I ran into him a few weeks ago and he asked me if I had seen Candlebox lately. I told him about the shows I was going to and then I mentioned The Gracious Few, he was shocked that he had never heard of them. So I went to my car where I have my trusty stash and handed him a CD. I saw him last week and he said he absolutely LOVED it! So has everyone else I gave a CD to.

I haven't checked my twitter for over 6 months. I don't even remember who I follow. I think it is actually creepier that you have researched me.

Awesome post live2. Thanks for the view from the other end of TGF. For all the copies I've handed out, I've gotten ''wow, that was good stuff', thanks for introducing me..
