Hey all, first post ever and was looking for an active Live forum after listening to some gems through their discography that don't get much play.

So post up the songs that you really like now that all the "big name" songs have been beaten to death after so many years cool.gif

For me recently:

Where Fishes Go
Sun
Dam at Otter Creek
Transmit Your Love (seriously)
Like I Do/Lighthouse (only redeeming factors of Birds of Pray)
Sofia/Show/Night of Nights (only redeeming factors of Black Mountain ohmy.gif )

Night of Nights really confuses me though, I remember the first time I listened to the album years ago at first I thought "oh sweet they are going to finish with a big build up rocker" and then the limp-wristed downpaced chorus

So yeah, post up yours lol.gif

Unsheathed
Face and Ghost
Brothers Unaware
Lighthouse

If I had to pick something off TC which is hard to do because the album itself really isn't underrated at all by most people...I'd go The Dam at Otter Creek as well.

I love all these songs, but obviously they are deep tracks from what a casual fan would listen too.

Oh and if we are going on unreleased stuff too..... Vine Street. Listening to it now, it's one of my absolute favorite Live songs.

Do you know anywhere I can view a listing of all Live's unreleased/B-side stuff? I'm seeing a lot of songs on here mentioned that I haven't heard before guitar.gif

Oh and also I forgot to put River Town on my list, been listening to that a lot recently too kicking.gif

Check out the Multimedia section of the board.

http://www.fansoflive.com/forums/index.php?showforum=7

You are bound to find some things there. Or just ask over there. I have a lot of stuff but never got around to uploading it. There are a few folks who are very gracious though, just have to do a little digging on here.

If you are just looking for a list. The lyrics section here has it.

No worries, guys. It's not my account, I should add - just something I know about because it gets thrown around here a lot. Enjoy it - it's full of gems!

The entire SS album had to grow on me when I first got it. I was expecting something otherworldly from Lakini's Juice and was disappointed with nearly the entire album at first. Nothing from SFBM has grown on me.

I'll just go ahead and list a couple of what I think are the more "underrated" songs from each album.

MJ - Mirror Song, Mother Earth Is A Vicious Crowd
TC - Iris (IMO, by far their most underrated song of any song on any of their albums), T.B.D.
SS - Merica, Insomnia (also have to throw Gas Hed in there also)
TDTH - Feel The Quiet River Rage, Meltdown (back-to-back underrated goodies)
V - Hero Of Love, Nobody Knows, and Transmit Your Love are all my favorite songs from V, though I don't know if they're "underrated"
BOP - Everytime I See Your Face, River Town.

SFBM... nope, nothing underrated here.

EDIT - Damn, forgot about other songs like We Deal In Dreams, Hold Me Up, etc.... though I'd still call Iris more underrated than those simply because of how in-demand they are from hard core fans.

I can't say these are all underrated but for songs that weren't mainstream...

MJ - 10,000 years, Brothers Unaware
TC - POD, Stage
SS - Heropsychodreamer, Insomnia and the Hole in the Universe
TDTH - Meltdown, Voodoo Lady
V - Nobody Knows, Flow, Deep Enough
BOP - Like I Do, Lighthouse
SFBM - Night of Nights

ahh this is the topic in which Nick has absolutely no idea whats going on ... Live songs that are considered underrated and not singles!

To pick one song from each that doesn't get enough love.

MJ - Tired of Me,
TC - TBD
SS - Merica (honestly was always the low point on SS for me until just recently, I saw the Ed/Pat rendition of it from that Interactive show on youtube from 97 and it was fucking great and just got a whole new appreciation for it).
TDTH - Meltdown
V - Flow
BOP - Everytime I see your face
SFBM - ???

lets go from the bottom of the barrell

SFBM - Night of Nights is prob the only song on the record that I could tolerate.
BOP - Out To Dry (yeah that one)
V - TMYL - I like the sound and riff for being experimental, lyrics meh....
TDTH - FTQQR, Meltdown, Walk in The Dream, simply Live doing what they do with feeling!!
SS - Ghost, Graze, Merica - I love Merica and wish we had more recordings of it.
TC - TBD, DAOC, Iris........simply would have been the next single if the record needed another one. TBD always had that mysterious quality, feeling of self confidence of being inside yourself while listening....and the lyrics simply draw you in.
MJ - Waterboy, Mother Earth Once we got the DMDP version of Waterboy......chills, brought this song up on my list even higher.

I've always loved Take My Anthem and Sparkle. Neither seem to get much recognition. Especially love the intro of TMA and Sparkle flat out rocks.

SFBM: Show/Sofia are the highlights for me on a dire and forgettable album.

BOP: Out To Dry

V: Flow is great. I just wish it didn't almost ruin itself with the way it mentions God. And I also have time for OK? As trashy as it is, I also really dig it.

TDTH: Sparkle, Walk in the Dream

SS: Merica.

TC: Horse. I really like what they tried to do with that at the end. Post apocalypse there's this strange, surreal existence on the beach... with horses? I like it.

MJ: Brothers Unaware?
