Gotta love the American dream. The farmer's daughter in Nebraska who keeps talking about her potential, until she becomes the obese 50 year old riding around on a cart at Target!

Yeah, this guy has a tonne of class. I'm quite a prick, but would never talk about people who have lost loved ones in a derogatory manner. Seriously EX, I know you enjoy the shit stirring as I do, but that's just wrong and void of class man.

Pokey, I know you enjoy my insults! The irony of the whole thing though is that they are meant to be exactly that. Taking offense to them and wondering how old I am as a result makes me think that you don't get the context of the whole thing. Not that I really give a flying fuck what you think anyhow......but in your own words, age has nothing to do with it. Ok, so you were talking about something else but, whatever.

Age hasn't much to do with anything really. It's the individual that matters. I'm one of the greatest people I know, one of the greatest fathers I've ever seen and in the same breath, probably one of the most pessimistic, nasty and sarcastic mother fu***&ers you'll ever come across. I'm ten years old at heart and will be for the rest of my life.....so don't question anymore, I'm ten to answer it for you.

my dad's not a farmer. obvisouly youre one of the idiot americans that think all nebraskans are stupid redneck farmers. when in fact barely anyone in nebraska is a farmer anymore. and i have more potential in my little finger than you ever did/do have.

and riding around in carts at Target is a mighty good time i reckon! yeeehaw! guitar.gif

Hey you guys have me figured all wrong. I think I'm probably pretty similar to Luke in that I hardly behave in person the way I do online. I'm just trying to get a rise out of people, and will stop at nothing to do it if someone decides to play along. I'm sorry if you got offended, but hey, it's the Internet and you shouldn't take any of it seriously, anyway.

I'm off to my last four years of school and will not have any time to play around here anymore. I wish you all well!

im not one to get mad at people on the internet and all of it is a joke to me but when u say something about a member of my family, dead or alive, its just wrong, adn you should expect me to ,or anyone in their right mind, to get pissed off. good luck in school....kid.

QUOTE(patrick W BURG @ Aug 3 2007, 10:59 am) *

Hello,

I've been browsing this board for a few years now, just to keep up with the latest on my favorite band, Live. Today, I finally decided to register, so I can actually contribute.

I read in the tour section a few differing opinions about something that may or may not even be that big of deal, but I have an opinion, so I figured I'd share, for sharing's sake.

I personally can't stand when Ed takes his shirt off at shows. I understand he is the artist, and his expression should ideally be unfettered, but still... I think he loses the connection with the audience. I know he's been doing this for years, but maybe we've just grown numb as to how lame he actually looks.

I've been an AVID Live fan since 94, and I still love the band, and I still love the shows. For me, this is something that I have just learned to tolerate. I recently took one of my buddies to a show, and when he started stripping, I couldn't help but cringe inside. Same thing when I took my girlfriend to a show. It just gets awkward. And both my friend and my girlfriend agreed that the stripping made the show much more cheezy and "gay" and much less cool.

You want to get into the songs wholeheartedly, but something just prevents you from doing so.

So, what do you guys think?

Wow... I was just looking through some old topics and can't believe I ever missed this one. I feel exactly the same way. I have been utterly embarrassed to bring my friends in the past to see Ed. I think this is part of the reason why I despise the guy now. He now represents the complete opposite of what I loved in the early days of Live and himself.

Anyone else feel this way?

Everyone but Ed.
