Interesting story! You didn't happen to keep a copy of the photo to share here did you? I must admit a bit of fascination at old photos like that, knowing the people in them had hopes, fears, likes, dislikes and such all like mine now, but that they're long, long gone, and then that one day I'll be someone in a photo who is long, long gone.

Seeing the guys for the first time in concert was the best Live experience I had, I think. It was magical - after playing their cd's sooo much - to see them for real performing. I'll never forget that!

It's a modern photo of re-enactors playing the soldier's family (during the reburial of his remains in NY). I dug it up from the website archive. It has zero emotional effect on me now - whereas before - well, you read the story. Strange. But I tell you this is the EXACT image I had in my head - so very eerie.
