As usual , this thread has ended up as most of the others have ..... with the same people trying to drag down anything positive happening within the Live community. There could be an announcement made tomorrow that would thrill the majority of us and guarantee this bands success and it would still be pissed on by some. It's seriously getting old. This is the best place for news and it is becoming a chore to try and get past the negativity. Frustrating to say the least....

That's cool, but I genuinely like Alive better than TGF's album. I also was a fan of V, BOP, and SFBM. Ed's lyrics and the spirituality of LIVE is what drew me into the band in the first place.

Those are the worst three albums Live put out, no wonder you like Ed and his new bullshit pop music.

Just to refute Jim Rome's points:

The Emperor didn't own Yoda in their fight, it was basically a draw.

The reason Yoda didn't fight in Episodes 5 or 6, was because he was a puppet!!! He only became CGI in Episode 2/3, so he could fight.

Seriously? Wow...and another piece of the puzzle falls into place. I bet you fantasize about Ed wearing the Princess Leia gold bikini...don't ya?

I feel like maybe she's just making it up to screw with us all... either way, I'm getting more and more excited. I did originally have tons of worries about LIVE not being LIVE without the original 4, but Ed has chosen, so I feel like there's no reason I should be deprived of more LIVE.
I listened to SS twice through the other night because I couldn't sleep.
impossible to explain, but that cd lulls me to sleep while at the exact same time making me want to run as fast as I can.
that's the energy I'm hoping for.
I'm totally ready for an official announcement of the new singer.

so I messaged the person on FB who posted that it will be chris shinn

she said she has a relative who has seen Chad and Pat and Chris Shinn hanging out together in Lancaster where they often rehearse. She also said she didn't realize her post had been deleted and she hopes she hasn't upset anyone in the band.

whether that's confirmation or not, I don't know. we will all wait and see, I guess. but that's where her info comes from.

If it is, I do like Chris Shinn the more I watch of him.

Chad just posted the following on FB in response to all of the negative comments regarding LIVE without Ed. Very classy response. Also, no comment regarding Chris Shinn. I'll take his silence as confirmation (though I know that me assuming it doesn't absolutely make it true).



I'm an expert at only one thing - music. What I can teach you is that listening is the single most important part of being a good musician. So, I do hear your pain and sorrow when it comes to LIVE moving forward. It echoes my own sorrow but in life, one cannot hit pause or rewind. Regardless of your pain, I encourage those of you who love music to do as we musicians do and use your ears. Let the music speak for itself. Then you're welcome to judge. If LIVE (in any configuration) isn't right for you, find something that does inspire you; we'll understand. (Chad Taylor)
