It certainly is. I'll never dispute that music is subjective. But I would wager all of my money that most music listeners who have a sense of what good music is, would tell you that TGF was a much better overall album than Alive.

I think most of us would take that bet actually.

That's cool, but I genuinely like Alive better than TGF's album. I also was a fan of V, BOP, and SFBM. Ed's lyrics and the spirituality of LIVE is what drew me into the band in the first place.

I actually didn't like TGF's CD or most of Candlebox's releases. Music is subjective, and what is quality to one person is trash to someone else.

I thought Alive was complete trash.

I'll listen, but Jim Rome grates on me. Possibly the worst talk radio host in the country, IMHO. The guy has zero personality.

Just to refute Jim Rome's points:

The Emperor didn't own Yoda in their fight, it was basically a draw.

The reason Yoda didn't fight in Episodes 5 or 6, was because he was a puppet!!! He only became CGI in Episode 2/3, so he could fight.

I typically retaliate against the Ed haters who think CCP walk on water. That said CCP do rub me the wrong way on how they went about things(particuarly with new LIVE).

You've got that backwards. C,C,P are held in high regard because they admittedly do not walk on water. They take full accountablity for their actions, flaws and all and people love them for that.

See, that is worthy of legendary status amongst us Live fans.

I am eternally grateful, and I am sure many true Live fans are, to Merica and +Ed+ for their efforts in reaching out to Chad and ultimately getting a great response from him.

Awwww, it was nothing really. The community came together and we all got a treat.
