If a band/artist doesn't draw enough to make touring worthwhile, it does matter.

Yes I'm sure it matters some TO THEM, I don't see why everyone else is so obsessed with it. There are plenty of bands that could only DREAM of having had the success Live has had or even the touring that both TGF and Ed have had and those bands are able to sustain themselves... it's not as if either party is going to be living on the street. I just don't get why everyone is so obsessed with who sold more tickets than who. As far as being "worthwhile", you obviously have no appreciation of an artist wishing to share their creations with others. I'm sure even small crowds are "worthwhile" if they're having fun.

I dont think the GA Tickets started at that total, I seem to remember 800 being the starting figure, no matter, looks like the balcony which was once sold out (120) is now showing 17 seats open, either released back or refunded. Either way 222 total sold, and only 119 on the floor according to my information.

At the rate they've been selling, I don't think youre going to see another 200 sell. Perhaps 100, makes for a pretty empty venue eh? 39+ is a it high to see a cover band.

Not sure why I indulged the devil here.............

It started at 880, I checked the first day. All Musikfest shows released the same section of balcony tickets today(the balcony tickets will go before showtime). I still bet that the show will have 400-500 fans by showtime(which is venue capacity for seated shows at the venue). General admission shows usually have a pretty solid walk-up, and I think being at the end of the festival will help Ed net ticket sales.

The only mistake that Musikfest made with the set-up for the festival this year was having the Grandstand compete with MF Cafe for sales. If you notice a lot of ticket sales for this years Musikfest are well below capacity. They should have allowed people attending the festival the opportunity to attend both the Cafe shows and Grandstand. For example Ed and Train are playing the same time on that Sunday, and my wife and I would have attended both if possible. Maybe next year, they will figure out a better schedule.

Musikfest is below capacity due to more venues and people suffering from the recession.

So add another 8o tickets for a whopping 302 total out of 1000 - 70% empty.

Why don't you go volunteer your Monday morning QB'ing skills on how to run things....you seem to think you know how to do it.....go give it a go sire Yoda. Always on the critical end instead of realizing what the festival really is.......perhaps and I recon there are more people attending Train.....bingo

Train - Steel Sand Stage (Amphitheater Main Venue) -most of the floor seating is sold and grandstand in the back is open looks like a 2-3 thousand for them.

Ed (Cafe/Lounge) - guess you have to realize this is not Brazil.

the balcony tickets were totally sold 2 weeks ago, now there are more tix. Did it occur to you who is popular and who is not?

Train is very popular now based off Hey Soul Sister. No way Ed can compete as a solo artist against Train. That's why there should have been an option and ticket price for both shows. They could have had Ed's show start at 6, and it would have worked great. I still think that Ed will draw between 400-500 for the show, and that is pretty good.

I still think you're annoyed that I posted about Chris Shinn being the lead singer of LIVE. Someone leaked it to a FB member.....you should be mad at them.

Here's a small issue I'd like to raise: Can we please stop calling Ed 'Ed K' or 'Eddie K' or anything like that. He's just Ed, and that's it. Eddie K... PUKE.

His family calls him Eddie. I don't know what CC&P called him. (wow did I just open the stage for the haters to make jokes). I think of him as Ed. I assume the Eddie K, and EK was just a reinvention of sorts...

That top picture looks like the audience Ed will have for his show with one additional person wearing knee pads by the stage. Guess who?
