Also doesn't have to feel guilty about paying them less!

Why would he feel guilty, they didn't have to sign their contract to get paid less.

wasn't the only other option for them: Ed blowing up their band?

Yes, but that is their fault. Everything is. They have no rights. They need to just quit making music as Live. They should have a long time ago. In fact, they never should have invited Ed to joint their band in the first place. It's their fault. They're the ones that enabled him. sarcasm.gif

Hmm, Ed saying for the first time HE stepped out. Interesting.

The early post-Live interviews he was much more abstract and saying he just wanted to do something else for that moment. Now it's just: I quitted the band, leaving no doors open anymore.

Anyway, the thing irritating me the most is that Ed says he FINALLY found his spark again, while he(like others already explained) isnt doing something new. (most of) SFBM was bland music, (most of) Alive is blind music. No difference. Man, we would all love if Ed found any new spark again after quitting the band. But that's just not the truth.

Last thing I have to say about this interview: listen when the interviewer mentions a certain LIVE show (in Vegas by the pool?) a few years ago, which was really good. Ed's response:

"Yeah it was cool and eh ....yeah this new band, we've been together now for a year and a half and ..."
WTF?! the guy asked you about a (in his perspective) good LIVE set, not about how refreshing your new band is to the old hits (something that's ridiculous as well)

I thought that was quite odd....but he's really uncomfortable discussing anything Live, has been for 2 years now....sounds more acrimonious now too, which it shouldn't. No one is pressuring him. It's like he's got the dump button on himself when someone asks him about Live....he goes into retreat mode. Quite sad actually......actually quite unbecoming.

Best of luck Ed.

If he would have just answered the questions about Live in the first place he wouldn't have to keep dodging them.

He never goes into detail and addresses anything so people keep asking him about the band and he keeps getting frustrated by it.
