Maybe it doesn't necessarily. But you'd think that on FansOfLive, people like both Ed and TGF to varying degrees, but ultimately prefer one or the other. By all accounts, much to the chagrin of nearly everybody on the site, Nick seems to love the motherFUCK out of Ed (to a borderline delusional degree), and completely dislike the others.

That's what gets to people. Exact definitions and my own opinion don't matter - the above is what the thing is.

This whole breakup and then name controversy is quite ironic and sad at the same time. We all know Live fell off the face of the earth after TDTH in most fans eyes.

Whether we agree to like all four members of Live or not, I think we can all agree that we want them to succeed. This whole bringing back "Live" and ending the hiatus is generating more interest and talk about the band than their last 8-10 years combined. V, BoP, SFBM, TGF, and Alive were mostly commercial failures.

At least this whole Live name controversy is creating buzz and getting the casual and die-hard fans to talk about them again.

Also, is it me or does Nick's posts and attitude make you really want Ed to completely fail and fall off the face of the earth even more than he already has?

I'll just pretend that Nick's stance of playing the devil's advocate is meant to benefit CCP and the new Live...

Any combination of fandom belongs on a band's fan site. Don't forget there are individuals here who completely dislike Ed, who are obsessed with CCP. In fact I'd say a measured liking of both CCP and Ed in their current state is the minority around here.

Fans belong at any level....but I'd love it if there was alot less BS on here. No doubt, Nick will say some shit which is wrong. But the worst part is the reaction to it tends to be full of nonsense, with only a few good rebuttals here and there.

I'd say the breakup generated far more interest and talk than their return.

Alot of people say that Nick makes them hate Ed. I always thought that was ridiculous.

If you were part of the LIVE fan community around the time of V, BOP, or SFBM's release, you would know that statement to be false(I know you were, maybe you forgot). There were many more members on FansofLive and a lot more in depth discussions about the band.

FansofLive since 2009 (and probably before) has basically been 10 or so members fighting with each other about nonsense(which I am part of). The only thing that would bring the fanbase back together(IMHO) is a LIVE reunion with all four members back in the fold.

Actually I do remember those discussions. They were usually marked up high levels of excitement but ended in utter despair and disappointment.

Those "in-depth discussions" that you refer to about those albums usually ended in droves of people leaving the Live fan base due to terrible music. Do you seriously not see that?

And why would you think they would get back together? Would you get back with someone who stole from you?
