First, Chad's words are amazing. There is not a single word or sentiment expressed that is out of place. He wrote precisely what I want to hear, and then some, and wrote it far better than I ever could have hoped. Thank you Mr. Taylor.

Second. I am all in! My chips are in the center of the table. I am ready to take whatever oath needs to be taken, renew whatever vows I need to renew, to ratify my membeship in the cult of Live.

If I may sum up my exuberance....

I am interested to hear what the new Live songs will be about. The earlier songs talked about religion and spirituality frequently, I wonder if any of that will return?

I'll be happy as long as it's not highly transparent songs about woman written by Eddie Gay.

After reading Chad Taylor's blogs and tour diaries for the last decade, I can tell you that his spiritual depth, understanding and openess easily rivals Ed and any lyrics that Ed has ever written (and certainly surpases it now that Ed has reclaimed "beleiver" status). That combined with Chad's Facebook posts about +Live+ representing the spirit that exists beyond barriers makes me believe that CCP are working on music that sounds a lot like Mental Jewelry and Throwing Copper. Not just sonically, but also lyrically. Reading between the lines, and absorbing a little bit of Chad's character and free spirit from his writings - I am expecting some new stuff like Pain Lies on the Riverside and Peace Is Now. I could be wrong, but I have never been let down by CCP yet and I don't expect to be let down now.

I'm all ears for anything new from the new Live. Very optimistic. Fuck, it's weird 2 of my favourite bands are almost in the same situation.
The other is Dream Theater where one of the founding members and a "huge showman/frontman" persona (they have a singer) Mike Portnoy quit the band in September after 25 years. It also became and is still becoming more ugly in the media. (no thanks to the fucking TMZ of metal Blabbermouth.net, fuckign word twisting vultures)
But they moved on got a new drummer (MIKE FUCKING MANGINI PEOPLE) and are now touring and new cd in September. As a drummer, to me, Portnoy was a huge influence and a drumming hero along with Gracey and Danny Carey from Tool.

So yea I'm on 2 forums back and forth for the last 1-2 years going through same feelings lol. But at this time I CAN"T WAIT TO HEAR BOTH NEW LIVE AND DREAM THEATER. As long as the music is from the heart I am A OK.

so fully new recorded? No Ed vocals allowed to be used on the tracks?

Actually, if they already have Ed's vocals they could re-record songs and add what he already did.
