Do the taxpayers in the district that fund your $28,000/yr salary for your 8 months a year that you actually have to show up for work feel that they are getting their money's worth on that venture?

You are probably the least qualified here to discuss anything of financial matters.

I feel a step out of the loop now. What's going on then? They're definitely getting a new singer, and gonna do some new music, or....?

Join the club. We are all out of the loop and confused now.

I just jumped off the carousel and then I jumped back on right away because i can't stay away. What is this strange power that this band has over me?!?!

In fact ... nothing. Other then that everyone's just having a good time smile.gif - but without knowing anything, nobody here knows anything, only that CCP are working on LIVE related stuff.

We'll have to wait and see!

I actually am an administrator in my school district and work all 12 months. Always nice when people knock education though.

This is not directed at anyone specific. But I think everybody should take it easy on Nick. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Not everyone will agree or have the same viewpoint. Whether it be religion, politics or Live/TGF/Ed K. - I think people can have a healthy debate without calling each other names or cursing.

Apart from the exciting breaking news that comes along every once in a while and the great multimedia finds that Dan posts on here (plus The Thrill's "sock"), the debates of which Nick is often the catalyst are what makes this message board interesting.

But people should try not to post things that they would be embarrassed or ashamed to say they posted 5 years from now. I think that Existentialist - an MD and psychiatrust - experienced a taste of that. Some of the things that Nick endures comes close to bullying and sometimes it gets a little uncomfortable and I for one get ashamed that I participate here when the temperature goes up. I really admire Nick's ability to take it and not flip his lid, given some of the insults and personal attacks he endures. He been insulted professionally, personally, mentally, etc. This place was never moderated like the old SOY boards were. It's always been the wild west. And that has caused problems in the past. And before this goes on much more, I feel like I need to say something about how I feel about it.

I hope everyone doesn't feel like I lectured everyone. I just think that everyone would feel better in the long run, if this place takes a step back and puts it all in perspective. Some of the things that are said are unkind, and that is not the spirit of Live. Isn't everyone grown-ups? Should reactions to one guy with a different viewpoint, a keyboard and an internet connection bring out the worst of your nature? I probably generated a lot of resentment with this post and I probably seem to be acting like I am above everyone else or putting others down. Not my intention. I have dipped below the line that I prefer not to cross sometimes too. I just wanted to say my peace and hopefully bring the temperature of the rhetoric down and get back to talking about music and what Live and former Live members are going to do next.

I also was the only one to state how idiotic money-waster it was to have a TGF billboard in Atlantic City(2 months before album release). Since there hasn't been any more TGF Billboards anywhere, I could say that was accurate too.

um the billboard was a freebee. Thanks for playing.

The thing about Nicholas is he brings a lot on himself. Personally I have no desire to get too much into his personal life.. Only to say at times it baffles me that his philosophies and such could be imparted upon impressionable minds. What I find offensive about him is that he just doesn't seem like he's a fan of Live, which is the height of irony. As I've said before if he even showed the slightest bit of interest in the music or excitement about things like the churchbox demos for example, talk about the wonderful past performances captured on bootlegs etc.. It would at least give things he says now a little more credibility. But he shows zero interest in anything beyond sales, charts, tickets, audiences and songs that were singles. His utter disrespect for 3/4 of Live is shocking, he just seems to see them as easily replaceable vessels to support Ed. The fact even the Ed "haters" are so strung up about a new lead singer too is because originally we held Ed in such high regard and replacing him isn't easy. Nick with his "no noticeable drop offs" comments towards the new backing band is just terrible.
So I agree sometimes it can get too personal going into private details of someone's life, I try not to go there. But otherwise I think he brings it all on himself.
However as you say Fish, fair play to Nick for not blowing a gasket still, he certainly is a tenacious little pitbull, er, Jack Russell.

this is spot on.....he can't take part in the fandom that goes on here regarding the music. We've been trading old shows a lot lately, but this dolt never takes part........his agenda is to place traffic cop and watchdog for Ed's good name. His actions or lack there of regarding the music say it all. FAKE FAN, FAKE PERSON, FAKE FAKE FAKE....

I've seen/heard enough LIVE songs in my lifetime. I have tons of recordings, why would I care to trade old music.

Classic LIVE is great, but nothing is better than hearing a new song for the first time.
