I think that's a special case. Michael Hutchence isn't around - but I still have issues with the fact that they chose a member though reality TV show and that they're using the name INXS.

Live = Ed, Chad, Chad and Patrick. That's indisputable. If CCP want to find a replacement singer then that's fine, if they want to play Live songs then that's fine as well. If they want to call themselves "Live", well that's where I would have an issue.

I would say the situation with INXS is much worse. It is like they found a good substitution for the genius who passed away. Same goes to Queen and the horrible Paul Rogers, and even earlier, when May and Taylor wanted to resurrect the band and Deacon simply left saying there is no fit for Freddie.

I hope it means they're working on the CB Sessions, because I really can't wait for those.

It would be the greatest thing in history if Hold Me Up was somehow accidentally placed into the CB Sessions.

Nick, if you had a job where you cared about your status in the world, maybe you'd understand. CCP, and Ed, too, for that matter, have conquered their industry and should be comfortable with their success. CCP certainly are, and Ed certainly isn't. He is a desperate fool. If you look at the facts, including but not limited to the fact that he stole from his lifelong friends, is selling his house, and has hired the cheapest garage band available to back him while he whores himself out to anyone who will pay, it's obvious. As Bob said, the lawsuit is more about principle than it is the money. Still, I'd be surprised if it was a losing venture, assuming Ed has any recoverable assets. The most ironic thing about all your input on this matter is that you of all people should be the last person to comment. A leech off his dad's money, set up by his dad to be a junior high gym teacher. That's the kind of story congruent with retards. Literal retards. Sorry, man, but it's true. You are the last fucking person in the world who could comprehend this situation, and identify only with Ed because you're both wannabe losers who pretend you've got it when you don't.

It's those type of people, that feed off of others, in order to validate their own existence, as if to say leeches are good because many animals have blood circulating inside them.

This type of existence leads one to ignore the objective and clear reality around them while living in a self-constructed dream world where the paintbrush is steered by wishes.

Nick doesn't care about his status in the world so long as he has a food source to leech from, I'd wager that is one of the reasons he likes Ed. He looked up to the man, as we all did, and when the rest of us found out he was douche', Nick found out he had something in common, a moocher, and tightened his hold on Ed even more as the rest of us let him go.

You were critical of Live's appearance on American Idol - how would this be any different? Both shows cater to the music fan who is more interested in looks and performance rather than musical ability. Do you really want some Chris Daughtry wannabe fronting Live? In my opinion whoever is chosen to replace Ed via a TV show would not be accepted by the majority of Live fans.

Live = Ed, Chad, Chad and Patrick. That's indisputable. If CCP want to find a replacement singer then that's fine, if they want to play Live songs then that's fine as well. If they want to call themselves "Live", well that's where I would have an issue.

I don't recall criticizing the fact that they appeared on American Idol. I might be wrong, but I don't remember criticizing the fact that they appeared on there.

I do remember commenting on the fact that they appeared on the finale of the biggest show on the planet, with Daughtry, the most popular performer of that season (and one of the most popular of any season) and they performed their new "single" on the finale, and Live didn't even catch a passing whiff of the commercial "bump" that any other performer has ever experienced. And I put "single" in quotes because my recollection is that Sony didn't even properly release that song as a single in the US. They also had a great appearance on Howard Stern two weeks earlier when he was on terrestrial radio and performed Mystery. They told funny stories, performed some hits and then performed Mystery and promoted it. Everybody who appears on Howard Stern becomes a top Google search that day and their websites crash from traffic. But not Live. They remained virtually anonymous to music listening public through all of that. If that doesn't tell you something about the quality of SFBM and how commercially viable Live was at that point in time and how much of a lack of reception they got at that point, I don't know what does.

About my Mark Burnett comment - I was half kidding. But going on American Idol then, and the situation today are totally different. Live is no longer together. The whole thing has been taken down to the foundation. Down to the ground. They lost their lead singer and the voice and the bald head that was the most recognizable part of Live. Live is on its deathbed. We're talking about Ed never coming back, and Live going away or going on with some other singer. If that is the case - then for sh*ts and giggles, let them play it ou ton TV in front of a big TV audience. I would be entertained by seeing CCP goofing around on a stage every week on Live television. I would get a kick out of seeing that. It would make the relevant again. They might end up with a talented new lead singer.

I bought the INXS album with JD Fortune. I watched the show. I watched Rockstar Supernova too. With the Voice being a hige hit, maybe the time is right to bring back Rockstar. If Ed is gone forever, then I would go for it. I would rather have Live with the old Ed. But maybe Live with a "Rockstar Live" singer would be better than Live with The Eddie K.

I can't believe I'm actually agreeing with you, Steve. That is how fucking blatantly obvious and simple it is. Nick is nothing more than a child who dreams of making it big in the real world. If he were able to actually do that, he wouldn't have to perpetuate this fantasy.
