I just realised that early July (or at least around the time I type this), LIVE (yes, LIVE!) will be working and probably recording new music. Somewhere it's a strange thought, as LIVE is... well kinda dead for the most of us.
Then again it always got me sooooo excited when I heard the first announcements that 'LIVE entered the studio", especially when we didn't have all those social media sites and waited for weeks without an update.

Sure, I see that it's in some way nothing different then 1,5 years back, when Chad, Chad and Pat were recording as well (TGF). But now it's under the magical name 'LIVE', I'm still interested in what the hell they're upto and what will happen. Leaving alone a few songs here and there (LID, LH, Purifier, etc.), it's like 12 years ago CCP were working and creating LIVE music...

I dunno, maybe it's just the nostalgic feeling of LIVE creating a new album, but it just crossed my mind today.

Does anyone else care?

More like LIV is making and album cause it isn't LIVE without Ed.

I'll be intrested in checking out anything they do but it will always be Live (Version 2.0) to me without the lead vocals of the band intact.

In all honesty I don't see how a new Live (all 3 members playing without Ed) is anything different from TGF. At this point Live is "just a name, just a name ...."

I'll check it out if and when something gets released. Would prefer a reunited Live with a sane-again Edward but, alas, that doesn't look likely. Let's be fair, anything they come out with, with a new singer or not, can't be artistically worse than SFBM can it?

I hate being a hater but..... I'm really skeptical about this happening.

There's been a lot of talk about a lot of things and little to no action about any of it.

Yeah colour me more curious and skeptical than excited at this point. It's not even for sure that they are going to just yet is it? I know CT mentioned it, but..

IMO, I was hoping the guys would be working out some new material for TGF so when they get back together this fall they could hammer out the new tunes on tour, go in and record over the winter and have it out Spring, 2012 for us.

And, yes Im willing to forgo any "LIVE" or "CANDLEBOX" release. TGF is some of the best stuff Ive heard in years. I want a 2nd record really badly.

Yeah, but still I'm wondering what they're doing or going to do, as they even brought 'the main project' TGF in a hiatus to work on LIVE (confusing, isn't it? tongue.gif )

It's very superficial sounding, but I don't care what it sounds like. Just to unwrap a new CD with the name LIVE on the cover is freakin' awesome yahoo.gif

Just wonder what it'll say on the inside ...

Lead Vocals: ??????????????

Who exactly owns the rights to the name "Live" anyway? Couldn't Ed have just kept the name himself?

I believe that Chad, Chad, and Patrick own the rights to the name LIVE.

Thank fuck for that!

I was starting to wonder why we haven't seen "Live Espresso" in the marketplace.

If the name 'Live' didn't roll around till well after they became a four piece, how come only the Chads and Pat own the rights to the name?

I think that originally each member owned 1/4 of the Live name. However after the events of the last 5+ years, and Ed leaving the band, he either no longer has his share or if he does its a simple matter of him being overruled 3 to 1.
