QUOTE(Hoodstock @ Jun 8 2011, 6:07 pm) *

In case anyone was wondering - Ed left Live, high and dry. Live did not get rid of him. Right there in Chad's words.

No but they publicly ripped Ed, and started a lawsuit with him. In the process they shot themselves in the foot. LIVE without Ed, will very likely be a huge fail.

You're clueless. Ed is on a short train to nowhere. Have fun on the ride. I'm sure you'll jump off just before he goes over the cliff.

No one is saying it will be successful, it's risky of course. CT even said it himself.

Ed is a huge LOL in everyone's eyes that's not a 45 year old female. Ask any music listener and they'll tell you the same.

This whole subject is LOL, especially for someone who's not a 45 year old female. Not that there's anything wrong with his man crush.

First, why are you so mad that they did it publicly? Has your dad not ever criticized a fellow politician publicly? If you don't like what someone is doing, and I think having millions of dollars stolen from you by your supposed lifelong friend qualifies, then there's nothing wrong with publicly criticizing them for it. It's called freedom of speech you cunt. Have you ever heard of the quote "I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"? It's Voltaire, fuck stain. And criticizing CCP for their actions is frankly Un-American.

Second, you don't "start a lawsuit with" someone, you file a lawsuit against someone.

Third, they didn't shoot themselves in the foot. Nothing they did could possibly cause any demonstrable damages and would in no way affect the lawsuit. Nobody cares what they said, because truthfully, nobody cares about CCP or Ed. They're all "washed up" rockers to everyone else but us, the difference is that one of them is still making and performing good music.

Fourth, agreed that LIVE without Ed will be a huge fail, in the sales sense. It will in all likelihood be their biggest success since 1999 in every other sense. You can't possibly understand.

Now fuck off you uneducated nancy boy. The only job you could get was as a fucking gym teacher in your dad's school district. You're like AJ Soprano but dumber. You're fucking lucky I didn't see you at Universal, and you know it, which is why you were quiet as a fucking mouse when you knew we were both there at the same time.

They shot themselves in the foot because they burned the bridge with Ed before assuring that their new band would take off(which it didn't). LIVE could have toured most summers and the CCP could have toyed with The Gracious Few on the side. LIVE with a new lead singer just sounds like a really bad idea, and feels like a money grab.

It's probably because you're a pussy and let everyone in your life walk all over you, but after someone steals millions of dollars from you, you don't care about burning the bridge with them. You fucking kill them, or if you're nice, just sue them.

you of all people can't make the statement 'money grab' and think you're credible. If they decide to do a new batch of songs w/ a new singer or not one at all......i think it's for pure personal exploration and not for commercialization. I like the guest singer option as a one off in order to scratch an itch. No play of old Live songs in concert except / perhaps W/D, Lakini's..not much if nothing else. Gracious Few coming at you, not going away, as you like to drag it through the mud like you do. One who stated on this very board that he'd be receptive to hearing and supporting it. Once a few group of good guys stopped being nice and spoke out on a certain injustice...you can't have it. Once you volunteered to admin someone's twatter and FB, the asslings of objectivity went out the window.

Hey, triple bill, CB, Live 2.0 and TGF. Sounds like a real pleasant evening.

If LIVE tours without Ed, and CCP don't play classic songs......they will be booed off the stage.

That's what everyone said about Van Halen, AC/DC and Alice In Chains, and I think they all held their own pretty well and proved everyone wrong. No one can predict the way these things go. I wish the guys much success, they are all great guys and deserve it!!

Very true point. I content if they do it, it will be for their personal fulfillment and not worry if people will boo. I bet it could be coupled into a TGF tour or shows as undercard. It's an idea.

Beauty is, they control it, they can do what they want for the sheer enjoyment of making music.

Excuse me a sec, have to go clean the smushed sjn bug guts off the windshield.

I love how you somehow seem to think this is worse and outweighs everything Ed is accused of.
