Chris Shinn

His voice was perfect for Unified Theory, and would allow Live's songs to breathe a little, which is what CC&P want. Plus it would be different enough from Ed's to avoid comparisons. Also his band, Everything Is Energy is awesome (Listen to "Real Easy").

I think that the only way to leave the door open for Ed to come back someday - and I do think that will happen some day after enough water goes under the bridge - they can't bring in a new lead singer. That is another reason why they should go on under the Live monicker as just the three of them.

Having had the misfortune of seeing Creed perform live, now this is no disrespect to the musical aspect of the band as those 3 are talented especially Tremonti, Scott Stapp's voice is all studio magic. He is a terrible singer.

I can't imagine why any established singer from another band or someone who has had a successful solo career would want to step into someone elses shoes.

I think they should scour youtube like they did in that movie Rockstar and find some guy covering their songs that just nails it every single time and hire him. Doesn't have to be a sound-a-like, just someone that can sing the songs and make them sound good!

I'm interested to see what they come up with being that I was never really a huge "Ed" fan!

Creed's first album was solid. From there it became the Scott Stapp show. Hmmm, sounds like another band I know where the lead singer took over and ruined the band.
