WWF superstar Randy "Macho Man" Savage died in a car accident this week. He was one of the best!

Vince would love you for saying "superstar" instead of wrestler, he'd hate you for saying WWF though.

Terribly sad, he actually seemed to be one of the few that was getting his life back on track after going somewhat bat shit crazy like so many of those old wrestlers do .. eg Hogan, Flair, Warrior, Iron Sheik. But Randy was holding it together. Was never a big fan of his later stuff in WCW when he was over the hill, but his early work and matches including the amazing WM match with Ricky Steamboat at WM3 was outstanding. I'm guessing the suspected heart attack that he had whilst driving will somehow be linked back to years of substance abuse. Not an uncommon story for the old wrestlers. Thankfully more is being done these days to try and stamp this out. So many of them die young. Very sad.

It will always be WWF to me (I think they got sued by the World Wildlife Foundation?)

I'm suprised with the old wrestling threads that it wasn't on the boards. It happened yesterday afternoon here.
