Hiatus means no active work on the band. So again, you make generalities to make yourself sound like a fart smel..... I mean a smart fella. TGF is working on songs and planning for the fall. Just no touring.

Its ok, Nick gets confused with reality and what he hopes is the truth. He hopes the guys are totally lost without Ed (or a frontman in general at least) and that TGF will just continue to flop. He see's the Candlebox dates as huge nails in the coffin for TGF and as a big victory to Ed. So the thought of them going on an actual hiatus so soon into the project has him harder than Chinese algebra.

Nick - you bring it upon yourself. I recall you promising to not post in TGF area. Promise broken so the blasts carry over to here.

- Nothing makes Nick harder than Ed's falsetto.

- Mathematics is a universal language. Chinese algebra is the same as any other algebra. It's probably all Chinese to you! lol.gif

talked to my buddy (die hard LIVE fan)...she hit me up on FB after going to EK show in AC and said...

he played 10 live songs and 5 of his own. the live songs were all of the commercial ones that i normally would skip over. i believe this is the end for me. we left wishing we had driven to MD and seen TGF thumbsup.gif

http://www.celebrateboston.com/earthfest/earthfest-2011.htm

tens of thousands isn't 100k. The radio station expected 100K, can't find the actual support to say they met those #'s inspite of the jackwagon's statement.....anywhoo. Sounded like a fun day out for kids.

Shittown, Top, The Distance, and Beauty of Grey aren't commercial Live songs.

The AC show rocked. The crowd was very into the show, and the trio was awesome. I hope he comes back next year.

Setlist(incomplete and out of order):
The Distance
All Over You
The Great Beyond
Zion
Top
Selling the Drama
Stand
The Dolphin's Cry
Beauty of Grey
Shitowne
Drink
Heaven
I Alone

Encore
Grace
Lightning Crashes

I went to the AC show, and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I understand the argument being made about Ed playing 10 Live songs and only 5 of his own, but I was happy with the set list. I enjoyed hearing Shit Town and Top. Is it the same as when Live played them? No, definitely not, but I still enjoy them.

I do enjoy Ed's new music, but I agree that playing Live songs is still the main draw at his concerts for 99% of the people. That is obvious from the crowd reaction...when he plays Live songs the crowd is really into it, and when he plays his own material the crowd is nowhere near as involved. If Ed outdraws TGF, it is because he plays Live material.

Thats why I hate when I see the comparisons between Ed's shows and TGF's shows...it's like comparing apples and oranges. TGF doesn't play any Live stuff, and that's cool...Ed does, and that's cool too. Playing Live hits is obviously going to draw in more people, that doesn't mean that his concerts are better...they are just different.

I've been to many of Ed's shows since the "hiatus" started...and I have enjoyed all of them. I also really enjoy TGF's CD, but unfortunately have not been able to see them live yet.

I guess my point is that the vibe around here from a lot of people is that your some kind of idiot if enjoy Ed's music.

I don't like either of them as much as I liked Live's older stuff, but I do like both Ed and TGF, maybe it's because I don't get caught up it the emotional aspect of who was "right" or "wrong" with the split.

Speaking of HOB, anyone who missed Live frontman Ed Kowalczyk's free show at Backstage really missed an unbelievable event. Everyone who was there couldn't believe he was performing Live smashes such as "Lightning Crashes" and "Dolphins Cry" as well as some solo stuff in such an intimate venue - for free! Hopefully, the Backstage will keep offering premium free concerts like this in the near future.
