Didn't say I expected that. What is insane is how you will twist anything and everything to try to diminish TGF and their fans. Point is some have lofty expectations, and rightfully so. We can really only go with what TGF's expectations are though and how they navigate a tricky and newly evolving music business.

I'm not trying to diminish anything, but it is highly unlikey that TGF will ever be the biggest band on the planet. Expectations for TGF's success were set way to high from the get go. I could even say the same for Ed at first since he was playing LIVE sized venues.

Ed has finally found his groove playing smaller venues, festivals, and co-headlining shows. TGF should be able to do the same, but missing out on the last two summer touring seasons is not helping their cause. Candlebox is a huge fly in TGF's ointment, whether they admit it or not.

My very high expectation from TGF was:
To get amazing music... CHECK!
Amazing performance of those songs in concert (regardless of crowd numbers) CHECK!

Ed's music? swing and a miss. but that's my opinion and thus subjective. Though the crap Ed is making is almost setting an objective standard for crap. IMHO huh.gif yay.gif yay.gif yay.gif

Nick, these hackneyed opinions are what make you the little pest that you are. So now you're going to bark up the Candlebox is a hinderance to TGF angle. Don't try to strong arm and scare us with your almightly fucking opinions of TGF. Stick to twittering the wrestling pros, why don't you.

Pretty sure his biggest band in the world line was a figure of speech. I don't think anyone expects them to be on like, U2 levels or anything. But hey don't let that stop you taking a chance to diminish smile.gif most people wouldn't have taken that literally. It was a turn of phrase for a band becoming quite popular.

Quite honestly.....there are a lot more fans discovering TGF and begging for new shows.......sounds like the slow burn method is working.

I said it from the beginning, having a lead singer who already is committed to another band was going to be an issue. Candlebox has toured the last two summers, while TGF have been put on the backburner. You can't blame Kevin, because most festivals would rather have an established act like Candlebox on their bill, rather than a new band like TGF.

If Live is truly done, maybe they should consider finding an unknown new singer who isn't already committed elsewhere. They could form a new band that could focus their tours in PA and the Northeast and probably do pretty decently. Just a thought.

As much as I dislike Ed, I do not EVER want to see Live introduce a new lead singer. I'd have no interest whatsoever. I wouldn't see them tour and probably wouldn't buy the music.

If and when Ed chooses to give it another run??? I'd probably give it a go. Live were unique and there is no replacing Ed whatsoever.
