Working a 9-5 and touring with someone are two completely different things. Damn you're an idiot.

Come on guys, don't feed the animals. They'll never go away on their own if you do.

yep, seems like touring for album #1 is dead.

Oke, so in fact.... the first album didn't do.... ANYTHING? .... ANYWHERE? ... oke...
well, apart from a few very positive reviews and a small amount of die hard fans who thought the album was FANTASTIC (like me) and thought it was among one of the best we heard the last 10 years are so...

I cannot believe this. I don't want to believe this. It's the truth tho. Too bad great music doesnt always get what it deserves. Ahh well.

Oke, next. Live reunion?

I have a feeling that this fall the plan is to hook up with a bigger act, and tour for the 1st album once again. At the very least, this will get the music out to a larger market and give the album a legit chance to succeed.

Then why wait for next fall?

Nothing musically related beats an outdoor summer concert.

Possibly be that the bands they're looking to hook up with aren't touring this summer. Hey I'm all for the guys spending some time with their families as well. Let's think about that.

Then why did they release a new album a few months ago? They should have waited and did the family stuff first.

Release an album, do a short tiny tour, quit for the summer. That doesn't sound like a good launch plan for any band.

The album was ready, get it released. They did a small grassroots tour for the fans. Now it's time to take a break. They'll reload, and get back out there. I don't see a problem with this at all. You see it from many artists.

No - it doesn't make sense for a new band at all. If I were starting a new band and I laid out this launch plan and tour schedule in advance my band would think I'm crazy and investors would not be interested.

Bottom line - they can do whatever the hell they want. They don't care what I think. I just get the impression that they're having fun and they're not really in it 100% to make TGF a household name, otherwise they'd be touring their asses off.

If that's all they want to do then that's perfectly fine. I just was under the false impression that they were planning on TGF becoming a household name. My bad I guess.

Touring their asses off on their own wasn't getting the music out to a large enough audience. Just a thought here, Foo Fighters are spending most of the summer overseas and will be touring the US in fall/winter.

Remember, they're also late 30's-40's here, with kids. They've invested money well, and TGF isn't do or die for them. It's something they love, not what they're counting on to survive.

Let's allow them to do it their way. We got one hell of a cd to enjoy, and some great concert experiences thus far. I can honestly say that the 4 times I saw them perform in the last year were some of the best concert experiences I've ever had.

The goal is to get on a tour with someone big like the foos or another band or so. I do expect that to happen........and Mr CAG was nice enough to give some info tonight.
