Ya I think he's dead. But they could have killed him long ago. He was dying from sickness and was ready to spill the beans about a lot of shit that would cause a lot of WTFs. Remember the Laden family held hands with the Bushes before. It's sad that so many people really believe everything that their government and media tells them. The US is controlled by an elite few old money families and their interests. They put our politicians in office, including the president, they control the media, and run every aspect of the show they wish. It'd be a valid argument that we really started going to hell in the 80s under Reagan, but I think the 2000 election was the beginning of the end for our country. No matter how you look at it, and consider that I'm a registered Republican who voted for Bush in 04 and couldn't care less about any of this, that election was completely stolen, numerous government officials blatantly committed felonies, and the US Supreme Court handed down a decision that was complete bullshit and unconstitutional (per my father who is a constitutional lawyer and also a registered republican who voted for Bush). They cut it too close in 2000, so they set up Bush's old friend Kerry to run as a patsy who won't fight the election results in 2004, and then just as people are getting damn near close to revolting against Bush, along comes Barack Hussein Obama, the black wonderboy to save us all. Well, guess what, he keeps all the Bush tax cuts, he gives trillions of dollars to Wall Street banks, he serves Bush's third term. And just when people start to get pissed at him, and even go as far as to question his citizenship, Osama bin laden is magically killed. Great.

This whole thing is a cocksucking joke. It's psychological warfare. Govt against citizens. Just when things get to the tipping point, along comes some huge event to tip things back the other way. We are being played like fucking fiddles, or like Nick by Eddie K, and it makes me fucking sick to see so many FUCKING RETARDS scouring the internet for pictures of a dead bin laden because they "wanna see that dead son of a bitch." Brainwashed, ignorant fucks our country is full of. Fuck this thread, too. It's all a fucking game that means nothing.

For what it's worth, you could be right but I don't see how it would effect my life any more than the shitty way the government actually works. I am firmly moderate so my voice isn't really present anyway.

I'm a fairly go with the mainstream government official statement kinda guy, i just find conspiracy theories too broad and numerous and easy to get mixed up in so i believe they at least went in and killed the guy. Maybe they waited for political timing or not, but what i found quite awesome was that they sent in a team of commandos like in the movies, instead of just bombing the shit out of it.

When 9/11 happened and as horrific to me as it was, i kind of lost a bit of the sense of wonder that i had about the United States being this impenetrable world of CIA's and FBI's and military superiority, and where bad guys just dont win. I almost thought at the time where was Van Damme or Schwarzenegger or Bruce Willis in the control tower to divert the planes at the last minute and kill the bad guys while simultaneously delivering a cheesy one liner... "allah see you in hell!" I was young though.

So when i heard they sent in a team of SEAL's in a night time chopper drop with helmet cams and sattelite feeds directly back to the "situation room " where the president watched live and then identified and killed the worlds most wanted terrorist....i was like WOW! It was pretty cool. I guess they're gonna make another Navy Seals film! Hopefully without charlie sheen this time

That's the damn truth right there. I can't wait for the movie, hopefully it is the sequel to the Expendables.

I don't think that most Americans believe that. 9/11? Sure. Everything else? Eh, not really.

And who knows how much Bin Laden was involved with 9/11, but we know that he took responsibility for it. It is more of a symbolic victory than an actual one, but I don't think that makes it less important for the American people.

As for it being great timing politically, great timing politically would have been a year from now. The 2012 election is too far away for it to be all about political timing. That is an easy claim to make though, because no matter when it happened it would boost poll numbers.

Sorry I got back to the boards a week too late, but this so called confession was deemed fake by Al-Qaeeda and several other websites by 2007. Just google for more info, but I recall that was the case at the time, so no one really knows for sure.

The type of terrorist network Al-Qaeeda is, they would've accepted responsibility immediately, such is their M.O. If it was them at all, it was probably not influenced directly by OBL. Yes, Bin Laden commended the acts of 9/11, but he never actually accepted the blame - even so, as I said in my other post, I believe he was dead years ago, and agree with most of what Ex has said.
