So TGF offers 10 dollar shows against the advice of the tickebastard, they lose their guarantee in order to make the shows affordable to folks struggling in this hard time. So Ed offers a free show here and there.....how is this not a good gesture.

So the double standard has been proven yet again this very night. Nick, take a bath, you stink.

The casino is paying Ed to perform at their free venue at the HOB.

TGF made their shows 10 dollars because people weren't buying tickets. If you remember tickets for most of their shows started out at a higher price point, but were later dropped to 10 dollars.

Ed and TGF both have struggled with finding an audience in the US for their shows, but Ed has been a bit more successful thus far.

Based on what? Can you cite actual numbers from the gate? I can't but I.do know TGF had more in attendance in Lancaster.

If the casino is paying to get ed for free, the casino must be on the hole for losing many customers to the PA casinos or Ed signed a contract for future appearances which will not be free.
Honest Deal by TGF was a promotion for the fans...tix were originally 20-23 dollars. I am sure Ed's were way higher and still are. The musikfest prices for ed in a coffee lounge is ridiculous.

I had a friend who attended both shows and she felt Ed had the stronger attendance at te Chameleon. If TGF had a larger crowd, it couldn't have been by much. With CCP having a large family/friend base in Lancaster and with tickets less than half the price of Ed's show, it isn't much to write home about either way.

Casino's tend to book free entertainment in order to get customers in to gamble. Atlantic City is struggling with the economy and the PA/NY casinos, so more entertainment means more patrons.

Ed is playing the brand new 1000+ capacity venue at Musikfest. Hardly a coffee lounge.

Just to be clear, the concert is a promotional event for a radio station. The station is providing free admission. Ed is still getting paid by the radio station.

Ed is not offering a free concert. Don't insult great artists like Bruce Springsteen, who have done free concerts for no pay, by claiming Ed is performing for free.

However - if you can enjoy the free admission. Sponge is a good band!

Hoodie, not sure how you quote me and say I insulted Bruce Springsteen? I didn't. I know the shows are 'free' to the consumer with a 'guarantee'
