Artist:
LIVE

Concert Date:
February 14th, 1992

Venue Info:
DNA Lounge
San Francisco, California

Lineage:
AT853 > Sony tcd-d3 -> CD-R -> MacFLAC

Credit:
Mark Persic (aka "persic") of California

Notes:
This is an unreleased recording that has not seen the light of day until now. This is believed to be the first ever audience recording of a Live concert. That alone makes this recording very special. This concert features material soley from "Mental Jewlery". Considering this was an audience recording recorded in the early 90's, it has fairly good sound quality. Certainly nothing as good as a soundboard recording, but the energy and passion of the band can be felt throughout. The total time of this recording is 42 minutes and 37 seconds (exact times of the songs are posted below). Enjoy!

Tracklist:
1) Good Pain - 7:18
2) The Beauty Of Gray - 4:48
3) Pain Lies On The Riverside - 4:27
4) Waterboy - 3:30
5) Mirror Song - 5:00
6) Take My Anthem - 4:41
7) Operation Spirit - 5:11
8) 10,000 Years (Peace Is Now) - 7:38

Wonder if the Nickster is enjoying this one?? Probably not, its pre chest waxing days.

I always thought how cool it must have been to be someone like the person who recorded this. Did they have any idea at the time that the small time band they were recording would go on to be as big as they were.

I'd love to hear Nicks opinion on this. I am positive the whole board would welcome an unbiased reveiw of this since it was recrorded long before he discovered Live. Dare to actually discuss the music and not record sales and charts?

He's the villain of the piece. To be honest I was more hoping to bait a positive reaction from him. I'd love to see him post about how excited he is to hear about something like this. It would just give him so much more credibility. Thing is, he never does. It's like picking a football team to follow, you learn all the players, buy the membership, read the stats ... but then never watch the games.

Yes, we'd like to hear a positive take on such a piece of Live history. Sad thing he chooses not to render an opinion. Pokey and I keep asking him to start commenting on actual Live discussion over the historic documentation of the band. Hard for me to ever call him credible, he's a numbers person. Not in it for the art.

Very cool show. Nice and pure. Good pain is a sweet opener. That was funny how the announcer came on at the end and was like "one last time lets hear it please for Live! Next up, Swervedriver!
