I contend the conclusion is conclusively concluded contextually correct.

Yes this is what happens when you take things out of context.

ah i see.... you were making an example of how Nick was assuming that Kevin was trash talking. Still, Kevin was going on and on about how Scott was an asshole in Creed. Barring talk about Creed on the radio is good indication that Scott doesn't want to talk about Creed. So I think Scott would have be cool with what Kevin was saying in order for it to not be considered trash talk. Its possible Kevin wasn't stepping on any toes, and even if he was, its only trash talk- my opinion is that its probably not that big a deal in this case.

Purely speculating, I would like to believe that Kevin had Ed somewhere in mind when he talked about band members who don't take responsibility for the downfall of their band. I think that miiiight be some trash talk.

Assuming that Nick is not aware of the relationship between Kevin and those he talked about, Nick's initial comment would be an assumption, and maybe an embellishment.

I don't think Nick really listened to the interview with a clear ear, he had an agenda and heard what he wanted to.

You are hoping that they make an album you think is good. I happen to think TGF's debut is quite good.

If you want to hear him sing "You" make sure you go see Candlebox live because they are great.

Also, as for the guitarist thing, was KM talking about the guitarist from his solo band? If so, it happens. When you have guys in bands who steal money, ruin the band with their drug habits, or start boning people's wives then what else can you say about them really?

I get the "political correctness" angle but if you don't realize that KM doesn't give a damn about that at this point then there's nothing we can do for you. You don't like it, but I love that he speaks his mind and doesn't hold anything back. That's what rock musicians should do. Given the number of fans he has garnered over the years I'm guessing that I'm not the only one. That's where the passion for songs like "You" "Closer" and "Appetite" come from.

Now, if he were stealing money, ruining a band with drug habits, or boning people's wives then I might have something to say about it, but I think the rest if just petty.
