Wow just saw this news. A high-school friend of mine was the lead singer of the Mint. Jonathon Decker. I knew he moved out of the area and had to leave the band. Just freakin' cool that Adam replaced him. They are playing the Chameleon this month. Just saw the schedule today.

Also they use to be a Christian band, but I think that had a lot to do with Decker since he is a very relgious guy. Just wondering if they are going to stay the course with that.

I was there but I actually didn't stay for "The Mint". I saw and chatted awhile with my friend Jon the ex lead singer, and Adam as he was just hanging out in the crowd for awhile. There was probably a good 100-150 people there when I left, maybe even more, it was a good size crowd. The Mnt has been a big name in the Lancaster scene for quite awhile now so they draw good local crowds.

I wanted to stay but I actually ran into 2 other guys from my high school that I hadn't seen in years and they actually wanted to go out to a local Irish Pub (that's apparently a TGF hangout when they are in Lancaster) instead, so I was like alright, it was nice to catch up with them. So I had to bail on The Mint but there will be plenty more Lancaster shows for me to see them with Adam.

I reckon! You'd think that a band performing their debut show with a new singer would have at least somebody posting a video.

Though I've yet to see/hear this band, I would much rather prefer to see Adam performing his own material rather than replacing another band's front man.

According to Adam's wikipedia page, Portion released 2 EPs in the 90s. Does anybody know if these are available or at least have a track listing? I've heard some of the poor audio quality Portion tracks that have made the rounds but if there's a professional recording available I'd love to track it down...

The Mint played at The Puck in Doylestown,Pa last night as part of the Jim Thorpe Showcase featuring 3 bands....this was only the 2nd time Adam Kowalczyk performed "live" with his new band and he did an awesome job...hard to believe he just joined this project as their new lead singer...talented bunch of guys with him ;
Adam Kowalczyk- vocals/ guitar
Nate Van Name- keyboards
Chris Narcisi- drums
Gabe Kienzle- Guitar
Nate Jones (Jonesey)-Bass

they played a good hour to a crowd of about approx. 40 people at a small but pretty cool venue called the Puck, which recently re-opened,they host live music weekly which is great.
Loved the sound of Gabe's guitar mixed with Nates keyboards, Adams vocals and showmanship....we have a pretty good band here...the bass player and drummer covered the low end and both are equally as talented..
get out and check these guys out as they have some upcoming shows in NEPA...check out on FB/themintonline....glad we drove down to support the Mint and Adam K....tough out in the music industry today as some of us well know and I wish only the best to these guys! spread the word!
