Could you please explain in which ways V is better than SFBM? I have some difficulties to get it. To me, V is Live's worst, most poppy/rap work and Ed's voice in some songs is at least terrible.

V showed experimentation, which is always a good thing.

I'd hate for my favorite bands to make the same music every fucking album.

gotta agree with ya! I like SFBM but V is one of my favorites...Okay, Hero of Love, Simple Creed, Like a Soldier..."with Live it's game seven every single night!"...the V haters should give it another spin!

if i can deviate from topic just for a second, my awake cd dvd was destroyed by a 3 and a half year old monster so I had to go buy another one (the monsters mummy refused to fork out the cash) and I went to the counter and asked the guy if they had the best of live album and he said "Yeh, its called throwing copper" and gave me a cheeky grin.

I thought it was rather poignant

I voted YESSSSS!

And I don't think it's a bad thing 'people' find Throwing Copper to be Live's best album... it's a compliment really! Because it is an unique album, in all aspects and deserves to be on the top of the list.
I know a few die-hard U2 fans who still think War and The Joshua Tree, are the best U2 albums ever, (and both released about 20 years ago) and U2 are still known to be the world's 'greatest' rockband ever. (I'm not too big a fan of U2 by the way lol.gif )

Um, I can't vote because it's not released yet, and therefore I don't have it.

I figure, there's enough time between albums, so I am going to wait so it's not as long for me tongue.gif

I must say, I am really happy to see that there are so many 'Yes' votes - and that people like it over V and BOP. thumbsup.gif

yes

..I think you get some good songs out of every disc..but it is hard to find a disc where you like every song...I know and play approx 40 LIVE songs before SFBM and now know 9 out of those12 songs..........as they grow and mature and people change,,,so does music....some bands fall of the beaten path while others drive on...SFBM may not be their BEST album...but I do like it and do think they will only get better...

I LOVED U2 from Boy up to The Unforgettable Fire... but in my defence I was young and impressionable back then. The Joshua Tree was the defining moment when I came to my senses.

I don't really like this CD....Alot of the lyrics are like love songs...and I don't relate to that. There's some cool spiritual lyrics which are alright..I don't know, the studio produciton just seems different from the previous CDs.

And unlike most peple, I loved BOP as much as TC and TDTH.

what happened to my old account btw?
