March 1st, 2011 The State Theater State College PA
'The Weight' - Ed Kowalczyk, Leigh Nash and Emerson Hart
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvA4eKyz_7Y

I'm excited about the PBS airing of the CT show. Hopefully it's broadcast in HD.
I've been looking at videos on YouTube and Jen Lowe has been touring (playing drums) with Emerson Hart in 2010.

I respect Ed's ability to command an audience, well I used to. I simply hate reading interviews like this one : http://www.syracusenewtimes.com/newyork/ar...after-live.html

And find he seems to want to take credit for everything. "I was responsible for all the lyrics and music for Live". How does he have the audacity to state the second half of that sentence? It blows my ever loving mind.

Not only is that statement factually incorrect, it is insanely egotistical. Someone please send that link to CT so that he'll quit slobbing Ed's knob in interviews.

He was solely responsible for the lyrics and music on BOP and SFBM. Those albums were definitely the band's high point creatively and sold millions and millions of albums.

Maybe she got his quote wrong? He said this in an interview that was posted that exact same day.

QUOTE

You also collaborated with different musicians and producers on Alive. What was that experience like after working with the same group for so long?

The whole event of this was, for me, collaborating at all. In the sense that, in Live, I did the melodies and lyrics and 90 percent of the music for years and years, essentially producing it and doing it myself.

It was a quote, so in this diff interview, we have a slightly different lie.

Seriously, you do realize that people get misquoted all the time in interviews...right? Maybe it didn't happen here, but I just gave you a quote from the same time where Ed was quoted as saying something completely different. So, it's definitely a possibility.

Actually how is the quote from the article I posted a lie by Ed. Did he not write most of the music for the past 4 albums ranging over 10 years? I would consider 10 years to be "years and years". You may not like it, but that's a fact.

I can't argue with your opinion. Yes people do get misquoted, but the first interview on which we were talking about, he does say all, which is no time period. To me it's not the truth.
