I think that whatever was said about Ed by TGF last year matters very little - nobody on planet earth could call themselves a LiVe fan and not realize what an incredibly passionate and honest (even to His own detriment at times) person CT is.

He said some stuff he shouldn't have so what? who cares? If the boys in LiVe are willing to forgive and forget then why two years later are the fans of the band who should be rejoicing (ed lovers got a softer ed on alive - tgf guys got an awesome rocking disc) arguing instead over money issues related to the two acts that came out of LiVe (TGF and Ed K) ?

I love LiVe always have, always will. I would be HAPPY for them to re-unite if it was under acceptable terms for all the guys (e.g. shared writing, no plexiglass, different payment structure and publishing agreements. etc. ad nauseum) but not if it was a return to an arrangement that frankly produced some sub-par (by LiVe'S standard) music over the last ten years.

I see it this way, Ed more than likely did wrong by the others but kept it private - tgf boys were upset and vented publicly - who is going to stand up and say one is worse? the both screwed up even before it came to a head because they let it go on so long when they were unhappy.

anyway, im probably going to get slammed for saying this but just let it go stop fighting each other and try and discuss what limited news (LIVE TGF or ED) we still are getting......I mean how f-ing incredible are TGF live ??? Damn! thumbsup.gif

I don't really like the "said stuff he shouldnt have said" thing ... on one hand I don't think CT should have anything to feel sorry for if what he said was true. And I still have no reason to believe it isn't, he was letting the fans in on his side of the story, and expressing how he felt. He may regret doing it in such a public way, but I'd think that whilst time maybe healing the wounds, it doesn't make what he said any less true unless he goes back and negates it.
Nick gets his panties in a twist because of the "nasty" things that CT said, doesn't give a shit about the nasty things that are being said about Ed may be true and in turn have been nasty things Ed did to his friends. I guess all that matters is public image apparently. Apparently Ed should be able to get away with whatever he wants to and we should all stick our fingers in our ears.
I seem to remember Nick being a massive Hulk Hogan fan, it's the exact same thing ... he just cares about the image of the guy being an "American Hero" and "the greatest" despite the multitude of stories that go into what a disgusting and selfish man he actually is. It just says more about how Nick views the world, so I don't buy into the fact that CT might be softening his views on Ed in turn making his previous comments any more "nasty" or untrue.

Whilst I'd be happy to see the guys patch up a friendship, I don't think CT should have to answer for anything he said or how he said it.

He shouldn't and most fans wouldn't ask for that. I appreciate his softening for the good of the name Live and what that future holds. Olive branches have been extended a lot since late 2010 to Ed. Doesn't make for what was said or what is being litigated any more wrong on C&C&P's behalf.

If it's to properly give the fans the proper send off so be it. Friendship renewal great, new material under the old band arrangement, even better......if not, don't need it. TGF should be the focal point as it's been stated from TGF's camp.

I actually met Hulk Hogan last year at a meet and greet. Despite being in tremendous pain with serious back issues he stayed for over 3 hours(90 minutes past his scheduled time) to make sure every fan got a picture and autograph.

At the same event, Ric Flair and Sting left after their allotted 90 minutes were up(whether fans were waiting or not). I would call Hulk Hogan anything but selfish.

Rick Flair once tried to beat me up. For real. A funny story for another time. But I can confirm that Rick Flair is a huge jerk.

It wasn't a great move, but Hogan is a decent man.

What happened?

I was a bartender in a night club in Philly. He came in after a wrestling event with a couple of other wrestlers. I don't remember who the other guys were. He arrived late. It was close to the end of the night. He was at my bar. He ordered bottles of Dom Perignon. When it got close to 2:00 am, I told everyone, including him, that it was last call. Shortly after the clock struck 2:00 and the place had closed and was getting cleared out, he asked for another bottle of Dom Perignon. I told him no, I couldn't, because it was after 2:00 and it was against the law. He freaked out. He started getting angry and threatened me and demanded more champagne. He started getting physical. Our bouncers came in and threw him out. That was it. And he was a jerk the whole time he was there too.

I have lots of good stories from that place. My favorite, is when I spent the whole night partying with my childhood hero, the Six Million Dollar Man.

Sorry pokes, I thought contextually it was evident that I meant CT shouldn't have said it publically. Privately he could've given Ed the old clip around the ears Dad style for all I care and he probably deserved it.

My point was supposed to be if Ct and boys can get past the bitterness and ugliness of the situation - why can't we?

Nick defends Ed I get that...and at times he dissed TGF which I think is Un-cool but surely after 2 years we can move on?
