I'm sure Ed took a pay cut as well. However, he has been able to tour successfully overseas, and going solo is less costly than starting a new band.

The fact that Chad Taylor and Chad Gracey have softened their stance on Ed, and are possibly open to a Live reunion, makes me think they aren't doing as well as you think.

Why does it have to be about money all the time and Chad, Chad, and Pat needing Ed or else. Couldn't it possibly be the fact that they grew up together and were friends for 20 years and maybe would just like to repair that bridge.

Ed's the one living high on the hog. I am sure of that. We'll see what happens. I think cc&p plan on TGF being the main focus. Any Live project will be gravy. Just one man's opinion. That music will carry more weight to much many fans and more of lives' fanbase.

Yeah... I'm not sure the softening of the divide is because they're secretly hoping they can make money again as Live or anything of that nature. I don't really buy that. They're probably comfortable in a financial sense already.

Do you deny that the guys are making way less money than they were as Live?

And?

To further expound on Ed's statement. Nick, sadly that's all you were brought up to value. You can't take it with you.

Or perhaps they just want to figure out what to do with Live. It's still a viable entity and as smart business people it would behoove them to figure out what to do with it. But you need to insinuate or revel in the fact that they are somehow not doing well. Whatever.

And?

Someone asked why the guys would go back to Live. A simple answer is money.

Why else would Chad go back on all the horrible statements he made last year about Ed? The reasons must at least be partially financial.

I coach with a guy who is a PE teacher. I make fun of him mercilessly, only because his work uniform is a polo shirt and wind pants.

At my junior high, it was the PE coach's job to stock the snack machine. Even at the ripe age of 11, I gave him shit whenever the Reeses cups ran out.

Money obviously isn't the primary focus point because otherwise you wouldn't have chosen a career of teacher. Teachers are rather poorly paid., especially out of college. You'd make more managing a McDonalds.

With that said, you obviously chose a career for reasons more than just money. Which contradicts nearly every post that you type on this forum wherein you indicate that money is king.

Back on point, Ed probably made more money this past year than any one guy in TGF however as long term projects TGF has far more earning potential. TGF has a god to honest chance of becoming big and relevant in today's music. EdKo solo can only become as big as being the dude that wrote Lightning Crashes 17 years ago. This can be seen by listening to the audio bootleg Ridley provided. LC comes on and everyone cheers like crazy. Fire on the mountain comes on and no one notices.

TGF is a new start-up. EdKo Solo is not a new startup, it's kinda like Live-lite.

If CT/CG/PD wants to meet with Ed to discuss Live it's not because of money, it's because they want to either close the chapter in a proper manner, especially considering it was 20+ years of their life, or because they'd like to maybe see it continued under new breath after everyone had a chance to do something different.
