It's not quite like Sophie's Choice, but if you could only have one group continue their careers who would you rather see keep on?

Please base your answer on their recent release and who you see as having a more artistic second, third., etc release.

I think we all know who is going to win this poll, but it will be interesting to see what the overall spread will be.

Agreed. Plus do you really want them to get back together to write junk like SFBM?

I had to shovel snow for about 2 hours this morning. I listened to The Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, and then switched to The Gracious Few on my ipod. You know what? Do you know how much TGF sounds like classic Stones and Led Zepplin? They are all rock n roll with blues roots. I realized that my favorite music, like those mentioned, and The White Stripes - they are all derived from the blues. And they are singing about girls in their past and love and trouble and rock n roll. It's got real heart and substance.

I'm firmly behind TGF. I am encouraged that they stand behind their project and will persevere with a second album and stick with this for the long term. It means that they really believe in what they are doing.

If they want to fund this band - my vote is for them to play a few dozen dates between Lancaster and Philly over the next year. I will go to every one of them. And the crowds will grow. Let them grind it out with more tour dates until this catches fire.

This is exactly what needs to happen this year. Get a bunch of local dates in the NY/NJ/PA/MD vicinity and then do the branch out.

If I was TGF (or Ed for that matter), I would do one of two things:

1. Perform at a lot of colleges
2. Try to get on tour as an opener with a more established band. There is no shame in that and gets your name out there to people who may not know you.

Of course, I'm not in the music business so I have no idea if this is easy or not.

Oh, and I still vote for Live lol.gif

I agree on both counts. Also hit as many summer festivals as possible. It's all grassroots.

Props to your loyalty to LIVE.

I believe it was stated by Taylor or Martin that they would be the undercard on one leg of their 2011 tour.

I voted for TGF and for me there is a simply explanation!!

I loved LIVE, but that is now over, I know that, but it does not stop me listening to them wink.gif

After The Guys and ED seperated and got their new albums out, I started listening to both of them.

ED's album did not do it for me, it was even softer then 'SFBM' which I have listened to 2 times,...and ED's album....only about a minute per song, this was NOT my cup of tea at all. For me this was disappointing.

Then there was....TGF....with their album,...I started listening to it, and I still am, must have heard it for more than a 1.000 times I think,...I know the songs from start to end, and I really really love it,...this is how ROCK is supposed to be, then there came the Youtube Vids of their performances, and I was blown away, the sheer joy and raw rock they presented was JUST my glas of beer lol.gif .

And after their last Performance in Amsterdam, I am addicted and infected by The Gracious Few, I am still high of it. The Guys not only ROCKED, They also interacted with the audience, and after the show was done, they came out to the bar to chat with their fans!!

Great Guys, TGF!!

O and did I mentioned somewhere, that during the concert Kevin & I sing together happy.gif tongue.gif kicking.gif that was an experience never to forget!! thumbsup.gif

There are quite a few Live fans who have yet to be introduced to TGF. I predict they will say many things like Ruud just gave after seeing or hearing them. Their facebook likes have been growing 100+ a week steady now since the new year.

I still listen to Live weekly. Always, but as Kevin Martin says, the mistress is WAY cooler!!!
