QUOTE(Bremang @ Jan 28 2011, 8:12 pm) *

If TGF had a bigger draw at the Chameleon club, does that mean that Lancaster does not have love for EK? Is the attendance count at the Chameleon club a good measurement for how much Lancaster has love for a band? Was there a considerable difference in attendance between TGF and Ed's show? Could TGF's draw be due to how TGF are a brand new act and Lancaster has already seen Ed's songs in concert for the past 20 years? I've never seen TGF play in concert, I can imagine it being a better show than EK's. I think you're saying that Lancaster doesn't have much love for EK. These questions may need to be squared away to have a better idea.

So, this might not have much to do with it and I'm certainly not an EK apologist... but CT and PD both live in Lancaster currently. Considering this, it seems only common they would invite their friends, family, business associates, etc.

well the point of the questions never being squared away is that it seems hard to qualify Aitkens statement about "hometown" love for EK, not to befuddle you.

If the home town fans aren't coming out to see you, clearly you've done things to burn those bridges. Even if a good portion of that crowd is aware that you're playing greatest hits, they still didn't come out to show as much support.

QUOTE(Aitkens @ Jan 28 2011, 7:59 pm) *

By the way, TGF out drew EK at The Chameleon Club shows in Lancaster, PA. So much for that "hometown" love for EK and his bullshit religious propaganda that he parades around.

I actually heard the opposite from a couple of fans in attendance for both shows at the Chameleon. I would also bet that Ed outdrew TGF over the course of their tours with higher ticket prices.

Either way, TGF's tickets were half price of Ed's for the Chameleon show, and TGF probably pulled a lot of friends/family for the event as JayBB said.

Lol, how it always comes down to fucking money and whoever draws the biggest crowds?

Don't you see, TGF are way past that shit. Ed isn't and never will be.

TGF probably did get a lot of friends and family in. Ed probably charged his to come in. "I don't need no one, to tell me 'bout Heaven, I look at my Daughters and I say ... that'll be $40 for your ticket please"

Huge difference comparing your "info" to my legit info. See, you "heard", where as I actually know a few people that actually work at the club. They have the actual official numbers.

How many more people did TGF draw then? Even if the drew 100 more people than Ed(which from reports is unlikely), they still had a smaller earnings gate since their tickets were half of what Ed's cost.

So if 10,000 people see TGF for a free show and one person see's Ed for $1 Ed wins?

Why does it have to be a competition anyways? shrug.gif

No, but if you're touting that a band outdrew another at the same venue, ticket price can a major factor.
