What exactly have these guys done to upset you because I hardly think they could have been the ones you were referring to in your original post. LiveRocks77 made a thread about people who got carried away doubting Chad Taylor, in how TGF's debut wouldn't be great. However, hardly anyone took that stance, and those who had doubts did not get carried away at all. It doesn't even make sense that anyone should blame Chad alone for the outcome of TGF.

Aitkens and others responded by saying LiveRocks was tooting his horn, even though LiveRocks wasn't trying to brag, he was just trying to disapprove of this non-existent audience of people who misdirected their doubt at Chad for the quality of TGF's debut.

The result is a bunch of hate amongst TGF's most hardcore fanbase.

Don't quite understand what you are trying to say but, whatever........I just made an observation is all. I can remember numerous posts, with some people bickering about how they shouldn't be expected to just "join the CT hype" so to speak. There was quite a bit of it actually.

Contrary to what fanboy Nick is trying to justify, I never made it a point to single anybody out. Nor did I go on "all summer" about how good it was, as the dick face asserted in order to justify his own ignorant point of view. I did mention a few times that I had heard the album and that I thought it was great. A far cry from "all summer"

But that's what you get when you argue with a moron like that, who exaggerates to the max in order to justify his attempt at discrediting someone. I proved his original statement wrong, and like a child, he responded with sarcasm and bullshit, instead of asking for more of an explanation. So if you want to alk about maturity Nick?? I suggest you look at the word hypocrit.

The point of this thread was to simply point out how utterly fucking asinine some of you bandwagon jumping idiots can be. I wasn't calling anybody out specifically, just saying simply that maybe we should trust CT a little more when he talks about the music he writes and creates. Also, some people who followed Live this whole time still don't think the TGF album is that great, so how can you say it was wrong for everyone to not join the hype before?

From my memory I was never sceptical on weather CT could produce the goods. I had my doubts on KM's vocals, but I hadn't made up my mind that I'd dislike it based on that because you gotta give it a chance. I don't think many people doubted that CT could back up everything he was saying. Where the problem came from was when CT kept asking everyone to promote TGF to their friends and spread the word, but at the time we had no music to be able to say to a friend "here take a listen to this!". We're all die hard Live fans so we have a history with these guys and CT getting excited was getting us excited. But for friends of ours they might not know CT from a bar of soap and to have someone simpley say "hey you gotta get into this new band TGF, they're a mix of Candlebox and Live!" they would respond with "oh cool, lets hear some then". "Yeah thing is, I don't really have any music of theirs yet and dont know what they'll sound like, but Chad Taylor thinks it's gonna be awesome!". ... you would then get asked who Chad Taylor was and interest would start to wane straight away. Hell especially out here because Candlebox is completely unknown. That was certainly my point of view anyways, so who knows, I must be one of the ones you were addressing in the first post. I guess until I had actual TGF material to show people I declined to do any promoting myself as I did have other things to do. I don't think that would make myself or someone in the same boat a bandwagon jumper.

I don't think it was a lack of respect to Chad or his ability to back up all his excitement, it was just logistical problems with promoting something that as of then did not really exist to promote to people who couldn't possibly have the same sort of faith in him as us. Now that the shit is out I've been playing TGF to people left right and center and mostly had some really great feedback and am sure if I'm still in Aus when they tour that I'll be able to bring along a nice little crowd to a gig. and hell if I'm not I have a feeling a few would now go anyways ... which would make me incredibly jealous.

So I don't think it's such a big deal to get angry over and to be calling out "haters". Luke so far you haven't even mentioned who you were addressing. I know you said you aren't here to single anyone out, but what's the point of bringing it up at all then? As I stated from my memory I'm pretty sure it was Nick and his couple of EK followers who were telling CT to put up or shut up. I guess I just fail to see the need to bring this topic up at all, and of all times now. Everyone posting here is enjoying the album, the people who aren't are not posting here so is it so hard to just let it be?

I don't even think Nick was specifically saying that Chad should put up or shutup. If he did, and we're referring towhen we only had that small sample then he might have been justified in saying it.
